Disconnect the remote and see if the unit works properly; could be lost comm. between the burner control module and the burner assembly.

If your getting error code 76; contact Rheem customer support at (800-432-8373) and notify them IF you are getting a code "76" error

Before calling service technician, open following link for Rheem troubleshoot resources including error codes and typical manuals.

C7 is error code 76.

Read manual cover-to-cover to make sure your tankless water heater receives yearly maintenance required for unit to continue working.
Tankless are maintenance heavy which can quickly eliminate any promised energy savings unless you de-lime and troubleshoot and read tips-and-tricks others have written and what you can glean from service technician who visits your house.

Rheem/Ecosense, ECO-180DVP, tankless water heater,flashing code 11

Unknown if this is new installation.
New installation, you may need more gas to the unit.
Call the propane dealer.
The dip switches for selecting LP or NG may be set incorrectly.

If this installation worked before and stopped working:
Before calling service technician, copy following link for troubleshooting resources:
http://waterheatertimer.org/Troubleshoot-Rheem-Tankless-water-heater.html

Error code 11 is ignition failure.
Keeping up with regular maintenance can eliminate a lot of common error codes, but the cost is greater than expected savings from owning a tankless.
Regular maintenance such as cleaning combustion parts, checking gas pressure, testing solenoid gas valve, sanding carbon off the igniter, checking igniter wiring harness, etc.

Rheem model 41vrp40n flashes twice and stops working

Error code means that you have electronic gas control valve.

Copy following link to identify gas control valve, read error code meanings for each, and download service manual relevant to each gas control, but not specifically Rheem since rheem does not post service manuals.
http://waterheatertimer.org/How-to-troubleshoot-gas-water-heater.html#intellivent

The fact that water heater restarts, means that water heater is getting gas, getting sufficient air for combustion, thermister is ok, gas pressure is good, etc.
The fact that you unplug and replug water heater and it works, shows that you have power vent model.
Since water heater worked correctly before, 2 flashes with Rheem power vent model could mean that pressure switch has failed.

I have a Nortitz natural gas water heater, model #N-063s-1. Acouple of days ago it stopped heating the water. what can I do myself to fix this matter. Thanks, [email protected]

There are many reasons a tankless heater will stop heating water. The first thing I would look for is a flashing red light on the burner indicator. The flash break down goes as follows

continuous blinking - typically means ignition failure or the unit is overheating; look for visible water inside the unit, have your gas pressure checked, or check the flame rod/igniter for buildup of debris

three blinks - typically indicates 16 error code; typically resolved by performing a descale

4 or 5 blinks - exotic error codes; for these you should definitely contact Noritz tech support

If there is no flashing light, first check your filter for debris. If the filter is clean, your flow sensor is probably stuck. Again I'd recommend contacting Noritz tech support to help you clean the flow sensor.

How to correct error code C-7 on my RTG-74PVN Rheem Pronto

I had the same problem and called the manufacturer. The error code C-8 was followed by the number 76. They told me to disconnect the thermostat/digital display from the main unit. This was fairly simple to do by removing the front panel. The unit works steady now without shutting down after a few minutes. The help desk told me that the main circuit board needs to be replaced for the unit to work with the display and that they would mail me one asap. At least we have hot water again.
