Make sure the printer is on but not printing. Raise the printer cover, then press down the Maintenance button for six seconds until the print heads move to the center. Pull up the empty ink cartridge clamp all the way. The cartridge rises up from its holder and should be disposed. Unwrap the ink cartridges and remove ONLY the yellow tape seal from the black and color ink cartridge. If you accidently remove anything but the yellow seal you cannot use the cartridge or it will damage the printer. To install the new cartridge, tilt the ink cartridge forward slightly as you lower it into its holder. Hang the tabs at the back of the cartridge on the hooks on the holder clamps. Don't place the cartridge tabs under the hooks on the holder clamp; you may damage the clamp when you close it. Install the ink cartridge and press the Maintenance button to begin charging the ink delivery system. Charging takes about a minute and is complete when the power light stops flashing and the error light goes out. For more information on installing an ink cartridge please refer to your Start Here Poster or your Printer Basics Manual.

I have thye MP620 printer and continue to get the 5C00 error after unplugging and turning back on. I have download the updated driver now and the problem is still there.. Help!

Error 5C00 on Canon Printers is waste pad ink full indicator. Meaning the error wont be solved until you replace your inkpad. But theres a solution that can resolve this problem.

Unplug your printer first.
Then move your ink cartridge to the far left side slowly, don't force it.
At the right side, where the cartridge usually resides, you will see the ink pad (full of ink of course)
Get a cotton ball or a micro fiber cloth and gently press down on the fiber, extracting the ink build up.
After that start printer that should take care of the problem.

Good day.

The color does not print anymore, only the black thank you, jacques los angeles

Printers usually have two separate ink cartridges. Depending on the cartridge that is over exerted in print jobs is depleted faster than the remaining one. Open the ink compartment to ascertain the ink models to make possible acquisition for replacement from retail. Ink acquisitions may require verification for the appropriate models and brands. Extracting the depleted ink cartridge as reference comparison at retail enables appropriate ink selections compatible with the printer.

How do I refill ink cartridges for Epson Artisan 810 Printer?

The ink cartrigde would have been provided with an injection kit to extract and install. In any absence, refer to the retail for installation kits for replaceable ink or refills.

Color cartridge leaked inside on cartridge docks and need to know how to clean it off

Well, first of all, open the lid of your printer and remove the cartridges. Use a lot of tissues and i also recommend a pair of gloves, as it can be messy. All you need to do is wipe all the ink that has leaked in your printer. By cleaning the cartridge docks you will also clean the residues of old ink. If your color cartridge is still leaking, just put it on a tissue (the print head should be on the tissue) so it can extract the excess ink.
Hope that helps!

I want to refill my HP J3680 printer black cartridge

That's easy. Take out the cartridges. Your black cartridge is number 21 i guess, so all you need to do is take off the label on your cartridge. You will see a single hole. You need a syringe and needle to do the refill. Put 10ml of black ink in the syringe, put the needle in the hole. You will feel a slight resistance- that is normal, there is a sponge inside, nothing you can damage. Pour the ink. Usually, cartridges are not entirely empty, so if ink begins to emerge from the hole, or starts leaking from the print head, just extract a ml or two, wipe the cartridge with some tissue and voila!
Now don't be surprised if the printer keeps telling you the cartridge is empty, that is normal- neither the printer or your computer can know that you have refilled your cartridge. The ink level will appear only when you put in a new cartridge. You can try and find in printing preferences how to shut down the warning, or you can just ignore it ;)
Hope that helps!

I can't find where on my printer I install my cartridges.  I have a HPphotosmart C4280

With the printer powered on, open the front door, above the paper tray.
The ink-cartridges should slide to the middle, and expose themselves,
for easy extraction.

I have a Canon multipass mp730. what order do the ink cartriges go in ? starting from the black?

Keeping an order when installing printer cartridges is not necessary.

You can even replace just one cartridge and this would make no difference.

To replace all cartridge you usually start from the right side one and keep following, as it is easier to extract cartridges.

Follow the whole procedure from manual below, under maintainance>>Ink replacement.

C3150 print cartridge

  • Remove the cartridges.
  • Turn off the printer.
  • If the cartridges are leaking, put the print head on some tissue, so it can extract the excess ink. With a dry cloth, clean your scanner. Look inside the printer. If there is ink in there too, clean it. Use a lot of tissue or toilet paper. Might put some gloves on too.
  • When you make sure that the cartridges are not leaking anymore, gently wipe the electric contacts on them, and clean the ones on the cartridge carrier.
  • Turn the printer on.
  • Try printing.
  • If the cartridge light keeps flashing:
  1. If a computer message indicates a specific cartridge, that is the problem cartridge.
  2. If there is no computer message, look at the Start Copy lights - if the Black Start Copy light is blinking, the cartridge on the right is the problem cartridge.
  3. If the Color Start Copy light is blinking, the cartridge on the left is the problem cartridge.
If you find out which cartridge is the problem, you will need to replace it.
Unfortunately, the ink that has leaked inside, might have damaged your printer.
