Question about LG WM1814CW Front Load Washer

1 Answer

F1 error The washer has been acting weird a couple of times this week and I thought maybe the kids had tried to do a load and messed it up but they swear they didn't. I washed three shirts yesterday and went to get them out and an F1 error code was flashing and I could not open the door. I got it to remember where it left off (25 minutes left on the spin) and told it to do it again. I went to get it out today and same error with all the lights flashing. I cannot find my book to figure out what to do.

F1 error code

Revolt! If you own a Kenmore Oasis (built by Whirlpool) or Whirlpool Cabrio washer, and you are getting the "F1" error code...or similar codes, and nothing you do fixes the problem...REVOLT!
Three options: Join the class action lawsuit, sign the petition, or be a just another chump consumer. All info is below. I for one, have HAD IT with a 1000.00 washer that breaks after one year.
Here is the class action law suit info. I got
this email a couple of days ago. Remember, these Kenmore Washers (built by Whirlpool) are basically the same machine as the Whirlpool Cabrio:

"Thank you for your interest in pursuing a lawsuit against Sears relating to the Kenmore HE4t and HE3t Washing Machines. This lawsuit is currently being handled by the law firm of Seeger Weiss, LLP. Sheller, P.C. is co-counsel on the case. Your inquiry submission will be forwarded to Seeger Weiss, and you will be contacted by a Seeger Weiss representative shortly."

LE is a locked motor error. Not to worry as 95% of the time it is just a bad hall sensor (the motor position sensor). For your model the part number is 6501KW2002A.

Whirlpool Cabrio top loading washer F1 Error

F1 means the control board is shot. Call whirlpool and they should take care of the parts and labor even though your machine is out of warranty.

I'm getting the OE code and I've done the the line purge and filter clean a couple of time but I keep getting the error after the wash cycle when the machine try to drain the water I have an LG WM2701H8

try cutting way way down on your soap
front load washers seem to exhibit weird problems when oversoaping occurs
try one load with no soap at all
and then try using 1 tablspoon per load
barring that you may have a clogged pump

Mildew odour from Whirlpool Duet washer.

I've had this problem a couple of times over the years I've had this washer. What caused the odour in my machine was one (or more) of my kids' socks getting stuck in the machine. With the door open, gently reach in and bend the grey rubber door seal back and feel for clothes that have slipped between the drum and the rubber. If there's nothing there and it has been smelling bad for a while, then it's likely that the socks have been sucked into the drain. To clear this without paying a $150 service charge (I did that the first time and watched him fix it in 10 minutes), you'll need to remove the bottom front plate of the washer (there are only three or four Torx -or star head- screws holding it on). Once that plate is off, you'll see a white plastic knob that is the cap of the drain trap. Unscrew the cap and a couple of cups of water will leak out so shove a couple of towels under it beforehand. You should find some long-lost now-rotting socks. The last time I had to do this, I found FOUR socks in there. This also contributes to the 'suds' error message as it prevents proper drainage. I've only had this problem with kids' socks, everything else is too big to get stuck, I guess. Maybe try a laundry bag for the smaller stuff.

Whirlpool duet front load washer.

Hmmm... I thought there were two keys that, when pushed together, lock the controls so that no one (kids) can mess with it while it is running. Maybe I am thinking of LGs.

Check this out though... might help
