Question about Canon PowerShot SX100 IS Digital Camera
Hello, I have Canon power shot sx100is. And last week something happen. Camera was on and I pressed off button - the lens start comes in into body - but on the same time my wife grab this camera and she put into her bag. What was happen: She brings camera but not working. The lens is full in body, but two little black parts stock in the middle. I see some part if glass lens. And when I press On button, on LCD I have few beeps and message "lens error, turn on camera" and camera shot down.
Can I do something with that???
Lens errors are fairly common. Usually it's sand or grit interfering with the lens extension mechanism. Or the camera's been dropped with the lens extended. Or the camera has been powered on, but the lens had been blocked preventing its extension. Or the battery ran down with the lens extended ...
Don't want to get your hopes up too high, but here are some things that you can do to try to correct it. They only seem to work for about 40% of the lens errors, but if the camera is out of warranty, they're worth a try.
