THis problem is usually caused by an older controller because the jacks are loose and don't make a good connection with the talkback cable. Try a new controller to see if the problem is fixed. Also, try cleaning the connections on the talkback cable with some alcohol to remove any corrosion on the metal.

The solution to this problem depends on which model Turtle Beach headset you have. Some (older) models use Infrared (IR) transmit/receive, while the newer models use Radio Frequency (RF) 2.4GHz wireless transmit/receive. If you have an X31 or X41, you have an RF headset. If you hear crackles/pops in the sound with one of these, try unplugging the chat/controller cable and listen to the soundtrack (no chat, just for a test). If the static noises go away when you unplug the controller cable, that means the controller cable is probably the cause of the problem. That cable is easily replaceable and you can get them directly from Turtle Beach. If the noises do not go away when you disconnect the controller cable, then you probably have an RF Interference (RFI) problem -- when too many RF wireless devices are in use all in the same place and at the same time. If you have a wireless "N" WiFi router, then this could be the problem. See if you can turn off your N router (temporarily!) and listen to the Xbox through the headset. If the static noise goes away, then you know the problem is interference from the N router. If this is the problem, you'd be best off contacting Turtle Beach tech support and ask them for possible solutions to the problem, as it can get a little complicated. But they'll make good on it. I hope that helps!

Why am i getting no power in x42 turtle beach earphone?

I am assuming this is not a sound issue, and an entire headset not coming on issue. Here are the steps that I would take...
1. Put in BRAND NEW BATTERIES!!! (Usually that is the culprit) ;-)
2. Unplug and then re-plug in all wires and cords to the console and the controller.
3. Check to see if the wires are connected from headset to end cords (on the one that plugs into the controller).
4. Once everything is connected and with brand new batteries, it should work, turn it on again. Remember the beep sound goes up when the turtle beaches come on, and the beep sound goes down when the turtle beaches are turned off.

My turtle Beaches work work with my turbo fire 2

they are not compatable... read your booklet that came with your head set and you will see if small print that it is not compatable with datel controllers. you can get a typical head set with mic. that comes with your cell phone as i have and with the plastic clip that comes with the cell phone set clip the mic part just above the foam cover over the turtle beach mic. (also turn off the mic. part of the turtle beach unit) then put the cell phone single ear piece into your left ear and then put on the turtle beack head set. due to the small size of the cell phone ear piece you will not feel it. then plug into your datel controller the plug from the cell phone head and mic piece. you will hear thru the turtle beach all of the game sounds, etc.. and thru your cell phone set you will hear you chat. it works and will do until datel or turtle beach comes out with a fix, if ever.

You may have a loose connection or a loose wire in the headphone somewhere. Can you wiggle the connector of the wire and make the static more present?

X31 make static like sound...

This sounds like you have a faulty talkback cable. You probably either need to purchase a new one or talk to turtle beach support about getting a new one sent out.

When i move the cord on my turtle beach x1 it gives me static and the mic echos when people talk. any ideas?

I found this on the Turtle Beach website: _________________________________________
If you or other players hear echoes in Live Chat:
Does it happen if you use the Microsoft communicator? Mute the microphone on your headset. Does the echoing stop? In the Xbox Dashboard > Settings > Live, set the voice to Play Through Both and unplug the talkback-controller cable. Does the echoing stop?
Echoing can sometimes be caused by high latency ("lag") on your internet connection. This may come and go depending on how much bandwidth is being used in your area.
If your talkback-controller cable's plug gets dirty, this can also cause echoing or static. Also check the input jack on the controller and make sure no foreign objects are in there.
Read these links for more advice:
Echoing can be caused by "a poor connection between the headset and the controller." http://support.microsoft.com/kb/912493 "The most likely cause is either a plug that isn't pushed all the way in, or gunk on the plug." http://xboxelle.spaces.live.com/Blog/cns!1pUP4M-J1d781v7Ac0Ta8FDw!158.entry "If you hear echo, then... someone in the chat session... needs to clean off their metal headset plug." http://majornelson.com/archive/2005/12/25/get-rid-of-voice-echo.aspx

Everything works in my turtle beach x1 but people cant hear me speaking

Have you tried using your X1 on your PC? Plug the green plug to the green jack, pink plug to pink jack, USB plug to USB port. Speak into the mic and you should hear yourself in the headset. If you can hear yourself, then the problem is the chat-controller cable and you should get that replaced. If not, it may mean your X1 mic is broken and you should contact Turtle Beach about that --- support@turtlebeach.com.

My TBx1 isn't getting Power.

You may have built up static electricity while walking around your house on carpets. Plug in your X1 to a PC or laptop to see if it turns on.
