Question about Rainbow E series Canister Wet/Dry Vacuum
I have an E2 Rainbow vacuum system and the motor protector trips just after a few minutes of running. I have to let it cool down for a long time to be able to re-start it but, eventually, it will trip again.
You need to take the Heppa Filter off and rinse it very good under running water in the sink. You will see the dirt roll out of it! I'm not sure on dry time though. You may want to check with the manufacturer.
This happened to a friend of mine but she wasn't so lucky. She burnt the motor up and she had to replace it.

Some possible ideas:
Make sure the cone shaped air impeller does not have hair/thread/fibers wrapped around it. This will cause the motor to work harder, and trip the protector.
Make sure you are not overfilling the vacuum with water. If the water is touching the impeller, that will also cause it to move slower, and trip the protector.
Other than that, i'd have to examine it.
Hope that helps!
