Re: Softener going into wash cycle

Pull out the soapdrawer, and clean it. It could also be that the spring in te arm that leads the water in the right compartment is bad. Does the machine flush down the powder for main wash and prewash?

Laundry detergent & fabric softener go into the washer at the same time immediately when started, the fabric softener should only be released when rinse cycle begins, how do I fix this?

without knowing what your machine is I would suggest that you start your load with only detergent in it the after it has filled and is agitating add the fabric softener-you may have to pause the cycle to do this-hope this helped-cheers Denny

Fabric softener premature release

In my case it was simply a matter of cleaning the nozzles that spray the water into the MAIN DETERGENT compartment. Turns our that when the washer was filling up, some nozzles were partially clogged and were directing water to the side where the softener compartment was, causing the fluid level to rise and therefore releasing the softener early. The washer was NOT spraying water in the softener side, what happens is that the dispenser tray is configured in a way that when the fluid reaches a certain max level in the softener/bleach trays, it completely drains. A way to test for this problem would be to completely dry the softener tray and start the wash cycle like you normally would (including detergent), only without adding any softener to the tray and see if after filling there is any water in the softener tray, this would prove that the water is coming from the other side.

Pour a pot of boiling hot water through the softener side. Try this a couple times. Let me know how it works.

Hi, If there isn't a softener container in the top of the agitator, you can get a softener ball from your local grocery store. Just put the softener in before you wash and it will open to release the softener during the spin cycle. It works great. I use it all the time.
I hope this helps. Please let me know if I can assist you further

Clothes softener does not drain out of the holder

Do your clothes smell funny? Does it take forever for a load to wash? That happened to me and there was a wire loose in the machine somewhere and it would quit mid cycle and never finished a rinse or spin cycle. My fabric softener never drained either!

Problems with fabric softener

you either have low cold water pressure being caused by the screens on both ends of the cold waterline being clogged by sediment or one of the solinoids for the water inlet is bad. try removing cold water hose and cleaning both screens if that doesnt help youll need a solinoid
