Cookies are data crumbs left by web sites you visit.  That is how they know what your interested in and give you suggestions based upon your browsing history.  They are also used by your computer to load data faster because some of the information for the web page already resides in the computers memory from the last time you visited.  You can delete cookies if the information is outdated or corrupt or you don't want to be tracked, but the web site will take a bit longer to load the next time you visit.

Cookies are a reference to cookie crumbs when you eat them in laymans terms.
every site you go to leave a trail or cookie crumbs. so every site you go to you leave a trace on your computer of being there and they have a record of you being there.
yes you need them.
to make sure they are enable you can go to the advanced tab under internet oop options on tools option in the menu
tools -> internet options -> advanced tab and click on reset. this will ensure that the standard cookie setting are in place and you shouldn't have a problem surfing most sites.

As Windows 10 have the latest and newest browser named EDGE so in order to enable or disable cookies follow these steps:
1. Open Edge.
2. Press the three-dot More Actions button on the top right.
3. Select Settings from the menu that shows up.
4. Tap or click View Advanced Settings. You'll need to scroll down to the bottom of the page.
5. Press the dropdown arrow under the Cookies field.
6. Select Block All Cookies or Block Only Third Party Cookies if you want to disable cookies, or Don't Block Cookies if you want to enable them.

I need to know how to enable is on firefox...thanks!

Cookies are enabled in Firefox by default - so if you haven't changed the settings, they should still be enabled.

Here's how to check:
(1) In the Firefox browser, go to: Tools > Options > Privacy
(2) On the Privacy tab, In the "History" section, use the pull-down menu and select "Use custom settings"
(3) The boxes for "Accept cookies" and "Accept cookies from third-party sites" should be checked. (If not, then check those boxes, and click on "OK")

How do i enable cookies on my computer? and i have java instaled but some games and videos wont play on the computer?

I assume you want to enable Cookies in Internet Explorer (Different for Firefox, googlechrome, etc..).
Open the Internet Explorer, click "Tools", then "Internet Options" and on the Internet Options dialog box, click "Privacy" tab and then click "Advanced" (circled):

Now in the Advanced box, select the "Overwrite automatic cookie handling"

Again, select "Always allow session cookies" [note: by default, both the options should be set as "Accept"]

And then "Ok"
Again "Ok". 2ad5978.jpg

Now your internet explorer's cookies has been enabled.

If you need further help, let me know.

Good luck.

Thanks for using FixYa.

Cannot accept friend requests, chat, post comments, accept messages

Clear the Cache": Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Offline Storage (Cache): "Clear Now
If that does not fix it, then try:
Remove the Cookies" from sites that cause problems: Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies"
You can start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of your add-ons is causing your problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).
See Troubleshooting extensions and themes and Troubleshooting plugins
If it does work in Safe-mode then disable all your extensions and then try to find which is causing it by enabling one at a time until the problem reappears.
You can use "Disable all add-ons" on the Safe mode start window.
You have to close and restart Firefox after each change via File > Exit (on Mac: Firefox > Quit)
