Question about Boating

I have a 2002 ox66 Yamaha 2 stroke 250 hp std rotation outboard. The propshaft snapped off. The fluid is clean and remaining shaft spins freely. Can i remove the two flange screws and carrier and pull out shaft or do i have to remove just the shift shaft and not driveshaft?

Prop shaft. You have to remove the bearing housing cap. reference number 70. Remove the bearing housing. reference number 60. The bearing housing will need to be pulled out buy using a puller. If it was in salt water it can be difficult. Pull the prop shaft and clutch dog assembly.

Make sure carbs are clean, check exhaust tube isn't blocked, check resistance readings on charge coil, make sure filters are clean,no fuel leaks in fuel line, tank has open breather, fuel connector not blocked.if this doesn't solve the problem could be faulty cdi unit
