Question about Computers & Internet

1 Answer

I cannot open my downloaded file Roxio Creator 2010 Pro. When I double click to open file my computer says it does not support Win32. The file icon looks like a computer screen but doesn't give me the option to open file using another program.

What sort of sounds are you talking about? What types of file extensions do these sounds have?Whatever type of sound it is, Roxio creator must not support that format, even though it seems that it may have mapped that file type to open with itself.Right-click one of these files in Windows Explorer, and click Open With-->Windows Media Player or go install VLC Player and open with VLC Player. If neither of those work, your problem is more systemic than Roxio Creator Pro 2012.

I am receiving error code 0643 when I try to install Roxio Creator 2010 Pro and then program uninstalls.

  1. Disable your startup applications using MSCONFIG. This will disable any unnecessary background or system tray applications from loading.

    • Go to Start -> Run. Type "msconfig" (without quotes) then click OK.
    • Select the Startup tab.
    • Click the Disable All button.
    • Click the Apply button, then click the OK button.
    • Click the Restart button.

To reverse this at the end of installation, go back into MSCONFIG and select Enable All and restart (that can be done once installation is complete).

  2. If you are installing from a physical disc, please try to copy the content of the disc to a folder on your hard drive then install from the hard drive. To do this:
    • Create a new folder on your Desktop.
    • Go to Start -> My Computer, then right-click on the Creator installer disc and select Explore.
    • Select ALL of the files in the installer window and copy to the folder you just created.
    • To install from the folder, double click the setup.exe file.

  3. If you are installing from downloaded files, please follow the steps below to delete the temporary files then try to reinstall again.
    • Go to Start -> Run. Type "%temp%" (without quotes) then click OK. The Temp folder will show up.
    • Go to Edit -> Select All.
    • Go to File -> Delete.
    • Reinstall your software.

In Roxio Creator 2010 slideshow won't open..complaining " Certificate file is missing or has been corrupted". Reinstaling does not help

Hi.

Check that the date on your computer is correct. Certificates are checked on an online microsoft database. If your computer has date Jan.2001, you get the certificate error.

If that was not the problem, then try the following:

Go to Control pane, switch it to classic view.
Open Control Panel ->Appearance and Personalization->Folder Options->View , then click on "Show Hidden files and folders" and Apply or OK
Go to : c:\Program Data
Delete folder called Roxio & Sonic
Try starting Roxio Creator.

If still no luck , do a system restore to a date that is one or two days before you tried to install Roxio.
After system restore, log in from account with administrator privileges, and reinstall Roxio.
When you reinstall Roxio, instead of double clicking on installer file, try clicking right mouse button on setup file and choose "Run as Administrator" from dropdown menu.
Allow all requests to allow system changes when asked.

Regards.
