Question about Office Equipment & Supplies
When you get the warning that the ink absorber tank is full, leave your printer on!, open the front of the printer and the cartridges will move to the centre, at this point look into the printer and down in the far right bottom area you will see(you may need a small torch if in a dark room) two small rectangular sponge pads in a black plastic caddy, this is the "absorber ink tank" all you do is carfully hold a folded sheet of kitchen paper on the two sponges, this will soak up the excess ink, keep doing this until the your paper kitch towel has removed all the ink it can. Now, (with the Canon Pixma mp110 anyway), you need to reset the abs-m level as follows:- with the printer on press MENU-SCAN-COPY-SCAN this will enter the "service menu", click the + or - arrow key until you get to NVRAM ACCESS? then click ok, now click on one of the arrow keys until you get to ABS-M LEVE now click ok and you will see SET ABS-M use the arrow keys to set the level to 0 press ok and turn your printrer off!. Now you can turn your printer back on and all should be fine!. pcdcool.

Eight flashes: Waste ink absorber almost full
The printer has a built-in waste ink absorber for the ink used during Print Head cleaning. Eight flashes indicates that the waste ink absorber is nearly full. Press the RESUME/CANCEL button to cancel the error so you can continue printing. Before the waste ink absorber becomes completely full, contact a Canon service representative.
Canon recommends that you call for service as soon as this error occurs. Once the waste ink absorber becomes completely full, printing will no longer be possible
