Question about Kodak EasyShare One Digital Camera

1 Answer

I PURCHASED A KODAK DIGITAL z1085lS I took 6 shots in 24 hrs and battery was dead. The batterys are to expensive to be replacing so often,so I purchased good quality rechargable batteries but after 4 or five shots their dead also. Is therer an electrical problem with these camers or is this normal. Some times I can hear a motor turning in the camera long after it has been turned of. Hope you can help thanks chris

This is not normal. Good batteries should give you over 100 pics before things start to slow down. If you bought the camera new you need to contact the warranty/repair folks at www.kodak.com and have them either repair or replace the camera. If you bought it used (no warranty) you can contact Kodak or take the camera to a local repair shop.

Install new charged rechargable batteries and will be dead batteries in bout 2 hrs not even turned on. take 2 pics and gone

Is your newly charged battery are new? Maybe your battery is worn out already. Or buy a new rechargable batteries and observe. Remember do not over charge your battery, this is always the reason why your battery got easily worn out. Thanks

The camera burns through batteries. Can this problem be repaired?

This is normal with Kodak digital cameras. Use good old AA alkaline batteries instead of the Kodak expensive battery pack. Make sure you use the viewfinder and keep the LCD display off as much as possible. The LCD display will deplete the batteries in about 4 hours if left on. Use the quick view option to see what the picture you just took looks like.

Your fix could be as simple as cleaning the camera's battery contacts, or it could be something more serious and expensive.
