Question about Panasonic Televison & Video

1 Answer

TV aerial needs to be re-assembled at the TV end of the cable. Not sure where the single type wire and the ''matted'' outside wire go. A couple of attempts haven't worked.

Unscrew the plug, you will have 3 pieces, put screw cap onto the cable, then wrap the matted wire around the outside sheath (this must not touch the inner core) hold this down with the connector, prongs pointing downwards, then place the inner wire into the plug and screw together.

Hi, tv says no signal, have swapped out aerials set to australia dtv, still no signal. Please help.

what type of cable are you using because video av cable looks exactly like aerial coxial cable but electrically they are quite different. Also make sure impedance matches. cable on antenna , cable from wall to tv , aerial socket designed for same impedance.

if you are a long way from tv station transmitter a mast head amplifier would be employed. this could be another point of failure.

Interference

Snowy tv screens is a sure indication of aerial problems and coax cable connections. Check that the cable has not been disconnected at the aerial outside or the wires have not corroded away

WE DISCONNECT OUR SATELITE hOW DO WE GET REGULAR TV

Hi,
You must have these first.
1. Aerial antenna - buy this at your local home depot. Any aerial antenna available will be fine. Please see the sample picture.

2. Antenna wire (RG-6 cable wire) - connect one end of this wire to your aerial antenna and then the other end to your tv.

3. RG-6 connector - other end of the cable wire must have a this connector to attached it securely to your TV.

Some Aerial antenna has a cable wire packaged, this is much better than to assemble #2 and #3.
After the connection had been done, go to the menu on the tv, scroll down to antenna connection and then press auto tunning to saved all the viewable channel in your area.
Let me know if you need further assistance.
Hope I helped you.
Have a nice day!
Thanks for using Fixya.

My rogers hd box the picture keeps flickering i've tried to reboot but it does not fix the problem

Have you tried a signal booster, i really do think that will help. Your reception can be to do with a few thing's, i.e. Position of your tv, Faulty receiver on your main (outside) aerial, A breakage or fault with the aerial cable coming from outside aerial to tv, or your outside aerial can just simply have a bad signal.

Trying to install channels on goodmans ld1962d. Not sure what active antenna is. No channels are found when we have aerial in or out.

check for antena cable plug condition, normaly 80% of low quality of antena signal, is conection on antena plug (inside)

1st open antena plug, check for condition/connection of cable.
2nd check for each part of cable well connected, and no wires crossed on middle cable
3rd check same to the other end of cable.
4rd check the signal on diferent tvs around house (if available)

if this general you dont have aerial signal in your house, check for your TV provider (cable) to test your arial signal.(Normaly this maybe a cable broken outside house).

Is ordinary coaxial cable suitable for a flat

Yes, normal co-axial cable is fine. Check the end piece of the aerial connector that goes into the TV, check there is no break in the cable or that the position of your aerial has moved off alignment. If you have wired the aerial connector yourself, ensure the outer earthing braid does not come into contact with the inner wire.

What plugs in where at the back of model 32AV633D Does single scart go to ext 1 or ext 2 Where does outside aerial plug in, there are so many ? Sorry but I'm a complete technophobe who is hopeless at...

If you have a cable box or freeview box, your main aerial lead plugs into the box. Then you connect a scart lead from your cable box/freeview box/ or dvr box to ext 1 on the tv. Where the aerial lead plugs into your cable/freeview/dvr box, there may be an aerial out socket too. You could connect a patch lead from the box to your tv as well so you have UHF direcy from your cable/freeview/dvr box to the TV as well as scart

Denon Receiver AVR-1600

Seeing as you can't put an aerial outside, can you put one in the loft space, if you have one. You could use a standard FM aerial. It wouldn't be as good as mounting it outside, but it would give you better results then a wire.

No colour on television

Hi, It is possible that the reason for the black & white as well as lines across the screen is weak, defective or wrong oriented antenna. If you are hooked up to cable, then it should not be a problem as you can call for service; if on the other hand you are using aerial antenna, you can try to: reorient or adjust the direction to where the antenna is pointed until the reception improves, check the lead in wire (cable or flat) for any breaks or shorts or loose connection, check/clean the connection of the antenna elements to the cable/flat wire, replace your aerial/cable as may be deemed fit and needed. A couple of questions pls if the above does not solve your problem: when receiving from aerial, is the picture full vertically? are you also having problem with sound? If yes, where was the TV bought and where is it being used now? If no, is the image snowy and some channels/stations are better than the others? Good luck and pls post back how things turn up or further information. kind regards.
