Shoot it?
Yes, this is one solution. Not very cost effective though.
(Tempting though, huh? One 12 gauge blast, and.....WAIT! Back to the solution, lol!)

No, I suggest you install the Hotfix from Microsoft instead.

Three things I need to know,

1.Have you installed any additional Ram Memory recently?
2.Any other problems been happening before this?
3.Did Acer supply the eRecovery CD disk with your Acer One?

Acer has Acer Empowering Technology, and Acer eRecovery Management installed on the harddrive. Problem is, using it from the harddrive will wipe out any personal data you have saved, any programs you have downloaded or installed, and any applications. Personal data? Means bye-bye Pictures, Music, Videos, and personal documents saved, or created.

With the eRecovery Disk you have the choice of Repair, (Non-Destructive Install), or Full Install, (Destructive Install)
With Repair you are just repairing basic files, Windows needs.

We'll go a step at a time until it's fixed.
(Or pretty neat target practice! JUST KIDDIN'!)

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

When windows tries to fire up, does it ask you whether to boot up in safe mode or normal (would be a black and white MS DOS screen with no mouse functions)? If not, you need to reboot your computer and go into boot options. There should be a little comment line in one corner of the screen before windows loads that says something like F2 Setup F12 Boot Menu. Do you get that once it has begun trying to execute windows?

Every time I attempt to log on, I get the message "insufficient system resources exist to complete API. WHAT DOES THIS MEAN? What has happened? How can I fix?

"insufficient system resources exist to complete API." This problem occurs because the Windows kernel power manager cannot obtain the memory resources that are required to prepare the computer to hibernate. When you experience this problem, the hibernate feature is not available on the computer until you restart the computer.

This problem typically occurs when the computer uses 1 gigabyte (GB) or more of RAM.

you can fix this problem by downloading hot fix through this link below
