DS asked for all the settings again, it accepted nick name and fav colour, but date defaulted to 2000, and corect time wasn't recognised either. Now it won't turn on again

I don't know if they have one or not. But inside computers they have a battery that gives power to the cmos so you won't lose your settings. The DS might have something similar. If the warrenty is void and you think it's worth it to pry it open then open it up and see if there is a small watch battery on the motherboard of the unit. After removing it go to a local electronics strore (radioshack) and get a raplacement and try it again. If that isn't it, then it may have screwed up BIOS. However i don't think that there is anyway to reflash the BIOS for a DS.

Hi my nintendo ds lite battery is dead and my charger is lost is there any other way to charge it without a charger?

You can try charging your DS lite using a phone charger. In order for this to work the charger must
  • Output around 5.2 volts
  • The end of the plug must look like the second plug from the left in this picture
When plugging this cord into your DS lite do NOT force it in. If you push to hard it may break the DS lite.

My ds lite won't charge.. the orange light appeared blinked

We had this problem with a brand new DS Lite...turns out it was a bad charger. If you have access to another charger, try that first. Good luck!

Nintendo DS Lite - does not charge

i would suggest trying to find what the issue is, if you know anyone who has a different charger, try it on your daughter's ds. if it still doesn't work, it's a DS problem...if it's under warranty, go to whatever store you bought it at and have them fix or replace it. If you try the different charger and it DOES work, then the only problem is the then all you have to do is go buy a new charger...hope this helps.

Console takes ages to start cuts out, blank screen had it a week

Try playing it plugged in - A lot of DS consoles are beginning to experience the death of their Li-Ion batteries.

If this solves the issue I recommend returning it as a portable console should not have to be played plugged in.

Hope this helped you,

DS lite not working

there may be some kind of damage in the ds as i had the same problem it may have been shaken around or dropped or even faulty the best thing to do is send it back if you dont have the warranty then go to a gaming store most have a collection day where someone comes to pick up broken ds and takes them its free except tfor the repair. Its best if you dont fiddle around with it a it will become more damaged

Nintendo ds lite will not turn on, when trying to charge the orange lite blinks once.

after researching this for a while, i heard that it is because the fuses have blown inside the ds. you can try to fix it but it is risky.
good luck!
