Question about Frigidaire FTF530FS Front Load Washer

1 Answer

My ftf530fs has worked every time I've used it, but tonight when I closed the door it would not start. The door lock light is on, but it will not start on any setting. What do I need to do?

My GE front loader did this. I unplugged/plugged it in and it started. Weird, but I hope your solution is that simple. Also, check your breaker.

MINE DID THIS TONIGHT. I HIT THE CLEAN OVEN BUTTON AND THE DOOR LOCKED STAYED LIT. AFTER ABOUT 1 MINUTE I HIT THE CANCEL BUTTON AND THE LIGHT FINALLY WENT OUT AND I COULD SHUT THE DOOR. HAVE NOT TRIED TO COOK WITH IT YET SO DON'T KNOW IF THE PROBLEM IS SOLVED BUT THE LIGHT DID GO OUT AND I COULD FINALLY CLOSE THE DOOR.

Door locks won't let you shut the doors

Any possibilities of coats, clothing brushing against dooor and INADVERTANTLY latching them closed ? OK heres how to open the latch. Make sure door lock is in the UNLOCK position. With one hand , lift and HOLD up, OUTSIDE door handle, while taking your pointer finger and flipping open the latch on the side of the door. VOILA Hope this helps

GE Spectra XL44 Gas Oven, flashing "Locked Door". Can't use oven or close door

I had the same problem happen tonight. I have an XL44 self-cleaning gas range. We unplugged it for several minutes and pressed 'cancel' a bunch of times--neither worked. We finally lucked out--opened the oven door and pressed a black button on the upper left side of the front of the oven. It turned out the flashing words and unlocked our door. Weird. There was nothing in the manual about this...
