I turned off my tool bar for Bing and now I can't even get into yahoo.com. My tool bars keep going to the top of the screen, the screen goes all white and the only way I can close out is go to Ctrl Alt Del and close out. What do I do. to get yahoo.com back? I tried to restore my computer. Won't work. Reloaded Internet Explorer 8 for win xp. Still doesn't work. What do I do?

Hi kuulei51
You don't need a toolbar to go to Yahoo.
Just type the Yahoo web address in the address bar as follows
www.yahoo.com OR
www.yahoo.com.au OR the appropriate address for other countries
Have a good day

Bing bar encountered eroor code 400.fix the problem

In most cases, you can disable the Bing Bar by opening Internet Explorer, then selecting View Toolbars, and deselecting Bing Bar.
Next, click TOOLS on the menu, then select Manage Add-Ons.
Once in there, you select Search Provider, then find Bing and, depending upon which version of Windows you are using, either right-click and Disable, or look at the bottom of the window and select Disable from the options.
Then, Close, and select View, Toolbars. If the Bing Bar is still entered there with a check mark next to it, deselect it.
Close IE, and when you reopen IE, Bing Bar will be gone.
If you want to get it back and have it working right, go to Microsoft.com/downloads, and look for the Internet software options, find Bing Bar, and download and install it.
I hope this helps.
Cheers!

I have Firefox and had Yahoo for my homepage and tool bar. Something changed it to the MSN Bing tool bar. I switched back to Yahoo Home Page but I don't know how to change the tool bar.

If you go to Tools on top of the Browser and then add-ons then to extensions you can scroll through them until you get to the Bing bar on the right hand side you will see where you can disable or uninstall it . I hope this is what you are after

Lost my yahoo mail, bing took over and i lost my emails

Hi,

Looks like your homepage has changed to Bing. In the addressbar, type in www.yahoo.com and press enter.

It should take you to the Yahoo screen, on the left hand side you can click on the mail icon.

If this is what you are referring to, you can change this to your homepage again. Go to Tools, Internet Options and then click on "Use Current" under the Homepage heading

Hope this helps, pls rate the solution

I want to remove bing and return my browser to google default page and restore the tool bar on top of same. thanks BV

I assume your browser currently has a Bing search page as the default (home) page, which displays when Firefox launches. You can reset Firefox to use any web address as the home page.

Here are the steps:
(1) In the browser, go to Tools > Options > General
(2) In the field labeled "home page", type the URL of the page you wish to use. (For a basic Google search page, the URL would be "http://www.google.com/" For a basic Bing search page, the URL would be "http://www.bing.com/")
(3) Then click "OK" at the bottom

There's also a shorthand way to do this:
(1) First, go to the web page you wish to use as your new home page.
(2) Move your mouse to the icon in the address bar (near top of the browser), and then drag the icon over to the "home" button.

For more on setting the Firefox home page, see this help page from Mozilla.
