Try turning it off, just push the power button down until it shuts off, then leave it off for a couple of hours. if that doesn't work, call geeksquad, i guess......

Dude connect your mp3 player to your pc and then format it ... it will help alot...!

SanDisk Sansa e260 freezes on boot.

You may have downloaded the wrong firmware.... Firmwares- Version 1 Version 2
Download the correct version or else it will render your device useless.
Version can be found on the back plate at botton right..

My mp3 says "bad track" alot and freezes for about a day! help

The songs are in the wrong format. this player will not play iTunes, for instance.

My Sansa e260 is freezing after few minutes of work

Sometimes holding the power button for about 30 seconds will make it reset itself. Then you can push the power button again to turn it on. It works for me so you might as well give it a try.

SANSA e260 will no longer get further than 25% of refresh database & freezes

I would recommend that you update the firmware on the device..Once the firmware is updated you shouldnt have that problem anymore..I hope that helps

Player freezes randomly whenever I play any video

Sounds like it's froze and needs to be reset. -
Press to power on/off, enter menu, or hold 15
seconds to reset your Sansa.
Or-To reset the sansa = Hold down power button for20 seconds.

you may be able to pull the battery which will reset it. It does require disassembly of the device to do and you should be able to google search it to find disassembly help. Check the users guide for help too it cant hurt

Message states unable to format

Make sure you dont have Rhapsody, or Windows Media Player open. Go to My Computer>Device Name (e260)>Right Click and select FORMAT. If that doesnt work, change the mode on the device Settings>Mode or USB Mode and repeat. Best of Luck.
