You have to activate the s-video in your display properties, You should be able to right click on your desktop and select your graphic properties. and select the external video that should get it so you can see it on the screen of your tv, You can also try shutting down you laptop and them plug in you S-Video cable and boot up and that may also get it on your tv, But you should do it in your video properties so you can learn how to switch it between your monitor and your tv screen. I sure hope that gets you on, If it don't write back and let me know we will figure it out another way.

I have set up my top field with red, blue, green cable. White red yellow cable antenna cable into Topfield. Do I require a antenna cable from top field to tv. All working fine but no sound.

I don't know what model you have but common connections are:
for higher quality video use red, blue, green in video section on receiver and TV and white and red in audio section
for lower quality video yellow in video section and red and white in audio section
that will allow you to watch programs from receiver on tv. As for antenna to depends on model of your unit and if you use or nor antenna on the roof you may be able to receive over the air programs. That connection is not regret for sat only programs

Roku has been working for months tv screen turned black today in middle of program now nothing. Roku is working because power indicator lights up but nothing on screen.

Check the video output cable (HDMI or composite/RCA, etc.) from the Roku to the TV, to make sure it's still connected. Verify that you're watching the input on the TV that the Roku is connected to. If that doesn't work, contact Roku support. I hope your unit didn't just die.

Watch my video and help me diagnose my TVs problem...

cable might not be compatible with the TV. try another wire or use regular video cables. see if you can change channel to 3 or 4 for input? I bet the computer might send a signal that makes the tv flutter like that.

How do i hook up my new cable box for descrambling to my vcr

If the cable box has audio and video outputs on it then use RCA type cables to connect the outputs of the cable box into the video and audio IN of the back of the VCR. Then select L1 on the VCR. If your TV has video and audio input connectors connect another set of cables form the VCR OUT to the IN puts of the TV, then select the AV inputs on the TV. If your TV doesn't have video and audio inputs, then use a coax cable from the RF/Antenna OUT of the VCR and connect it to the antenna jack on the TV. Now select 3or4 on the VCR to whatever works for your location and tune the TV to that same channel. That's it ...you now can watch and record the channel you're watching. You will have to have the VCR powered up all the time to watch TV

Video outputs

There are TV/Monitor hybrids out there. You could get a 60'' plasma widescreen and use it as your desktop monitor for example. But as far as watching 'streaming video' from like....HBO from your local cable provider, you will not be able to do it with this computer unless you purchase an add-on card (be sure you have the open PCI slot first).

You would need something like the cards listed in the url below (again, be sure your motherboard is compatable with it first).

Playstation 3 Does not display on TV using HDMI or regular video

This happened to me a few years back so I apologize if it's not 100% accurate. If you can get it to work on another TV, go ahead and connect it to that, and go in to the settings to select the video input. If it's connected through an HDMI cable, then it will probably be set to HDMI. Change the input here to whatever cable you used in the living room. You will have to power it off at this stage, but when you connect to the other TV it should work.

VCR/Cable TV Connection

I guess you are using the cable TV feed looped through the VCR to the TV set.

Make sure you did not confuse the in and out loop of the VCR.

In the VCR menu, or on the remote there is usually a button called TV/VCR (Video). Make sure it is in the TV mode to watch the cable. In the VCR (Video) mode, the TV must be on the VCR's designated channel to watch the VCR, and the VCR tuner is used to watch the cable channels.

No image on tv using video card.

If you open the Radeon software utility, in the advanced screen settings you should be able to set "extend my windows desktop onto this monitor" to on for the TV screen. Then all you have to do is open your video player software and drag its window across to the tv, then maximise it. If you are having trouble doing this, some video player programs, especially dvd players playing dvds will not show the picture on the tv. If you want to watch .avi files then the best free player around at the minute is DivxPlayer - go to http://www.divx.com to download. Hope this helps, please ask again if not :)
