On the amplifier side, I will need the wattage, and frequency of the speaker to tell you what amp you will need.

Subwoofers differ in only one way. You get an "Open Air" and a "Closed air" subwoofer, That being said, you'll have to check on your magnet which one you have to make the boxes for that sub. If it is an "Open air" Subwoofer, you should see a "wire mesh" or "grid" in the centre, at the back of the magnet. If it is a "Closed air", the magnet will be solid with no hole whatsoever.

If it is a "Open air" sub, your boxes should be sealed with silicone, and no ports are to be cut in your box.

With "Closed air" subs, you should have 2 ports below your sub and the port sizes should be around 50mm in diameter. You should start with a 100mm long piece in the one box and add 50mm increments to "tune" the port up to 250mm, depending on the frequency of bass you require.

On a 15 inch subwoofer ranging between 80Hz and 120Hz, the box size required should be around 27 liters, meaning that you will end up with a box of 16 inches high, x 16 inches wide, x 16 inches deep. Or 320mm high, x 320mm wide, x 320mm deep.
Enjoy!

How do i recone an OZ audio matrix elite subwoofer

Do a google on "speaker reconing" - you will find some services that can do this as well as companies that sell kits for you to do this.

I have not done this myself, but would recommend a service - unless you are quite gifted with your hands using tools.

Amp wont play

Quick test...with your Lanzar volume all the way down, connect MP3 player or other type audio source directly to the subwoofer input connection. Play audio and slowly increase volume control. If subwoofer is working using this method, reconnect and check for audio output to Lanzer connection problem, or subwoofer "settings" issues with the receiver.

Does any of you know how many milliliters are in an ounce?

Here is a quick conversion chart:

100 ml = 3.3 or 3.4 oz
50 ml = 1.7 oz
30 ml = 1 oz
15 ml = 1/2 oz
10 ml = 1/3 oz
7.5 ml = 1/4 oz
5 ml = 1/6 oz
3.7 ml = 1/8 oz = 1 dram

Note that all of these are approximate; strictly speaking, 1/2 oz is 14.787 ml.

A standard perfume sample is in a 1/32 oz (1 ml) vial.

Would a Pyramid 15" subwoofer work for my Yamaha synthasiser?

Do yourself a favor do not get anything Pyramid they are cheap for a reason and you will not get good bass response from them even in a optimal enclosure. If you want nice bass for little money go with lanzar opti 1535D sub you can pick one up for around $265 and will blow away Pyramid any day.

I would think the sound stage in your vehicle is up to you and most popular place would be the door panels, high or low is up to you and what might be in the way. Unless you can customize it.

Specs for Ported Box for 2 12" MA AUDIO HK12X2 Subs

    Hello joseph_delac,

MA Audio's website has the recommended box volume and port size online here. A ported enclosure needs 3.0 CuFt of internal volume and the port should be 48 sq/in and 14.5" in length. A 4X12" rectangular port would give you the recommended 48 sq/in. Using 3/4" MDF, a box 16X18X25 has an internal volume of 3.25 CuFt allowing .25 CuFt for the sub and port displacement.

    Hope this helps.
