Question about Dell Computers & Internet
On new Dell notebook computers some have recovery partitions which are accessible by pressing F8 during boot and choosing Repair My Computer. This will allow you to open the recovery options. Others use Dell Data Safe in Windows to recover the computer to factory settings. So although some Dell's have these options most need recovery discs to get the job done.

It won't come up using F8. I believe you will see, at startup, a prompt telling you to hit, perhaps, F11 or another function to do a system recovery.
F8 is only to get into safe mode or do diagnostics.
F12 will allow you to choose the boot device, but it may also allow you to get to the system recovery.
