Using uberhause deluxe vinyl flooring (foam layer on back). Not recommended to install under kitchen counters, but can it be installed under fridge, stove, dishwasher & hearth pad (under wood stove)?

I am not familiar with the brand but cushioned vinyl can be laid under just about anything as long as you accept the downside - permanent pressure on the vinyl will cause sinkage over time until the deformation becomes permanent so should the fridge or washer, for instance needs moving at some future time, will be so deeply embedded they will need lifting out of the indentations as attempting to slide or roll them out would likely need a great deal of force and result in severe damage to the vinyl.

The vinyl could be laid under kitchen counters but again the counters would continue moving downwards over time until the compression of the foam is complete; making precision fitting difficult.

If I was facing the problem I would begin by laying some sort of base for the fridge, washer, etc. to stand on and provide a neat edge for the cushioned vinyl in approximate line with the kitchen counters. Marine ply or tiles for a base perhaps.

Hi,
Here is a tip that I wrote on moving refrigerators...if you did not do it thisway then you may well have ruined a perfectly good refrigerator.

Moving a Refrigerator What is thebest way

If you already have moved it wrong, you can sometimes get it working byplugging it in and unplugging it a number of times with an hour or so inbetween.

Hi - I have to move a Daewoo upright fridge/freezer. It is too high to stand upright in my van, can it be laid on its side? Thanks

Yes, it can be laid on its side but when you get it to its location, stand it up and DO NOT plug it in for a few days to let the compressor oil run back down out of the system. After that everything will be fine.

Sears upright freezer will not come on after a move. Worked fine when we left the old place. Model 253.9244410

Sometimes when you move these, they hydraulic in the line if they were laid on it's side to move. Time is all it needs in this case- about 24 hrs. If it was not laid down, pull the back cover off the freezer and look carefully for loose wires. There will probably be a wire off either there or behind your temperature control.

Maytag washer pours water out bottom instead of filling up

Check the water pump for physical damage from the move. If the washer was laid on it's side, you may have either snapped off the pump outlet or broke the pump body. You may have broekn the body of the water inlet valve fill flume. A visual examination should provide a lot of insight as to what the problem is.
