If i have wordpress theme psd file i mean photoshop file can i upload the theme via my word press control panel or i need some more files including psd file to make my theme work in word press. i will really appreciate your response. thanks

listen your psd file is only an image file. just uploading that wont make ur theme available in ur wordpress. you have to design your theme with HTML and CSS just like the one u see on the psd file. that is with reference u have to design it and then upload the html file , images and css to make ur theme available.

Make it yourself easy, hire a service like PSDtoWP. They will convert your designs to a fully functional WordPress theme. They make sure you won't have to write a single line of code :)

Well, even my answer is same. You cannot install a psd file theme in wordpress. I would suggest you to change this into HTML file and then upload a new theme.

There are various tools through which you can easily convert psd into html. I would rcemmend you these three options for converting a Photoshop design to a HTML/CSS.

Firstly, there are many number of slicing services like psd2html.com etc. These are legion and they typically charge per page.

Second, there is a plugin for Photoshop called SiteGrinder that can do that. It does a respectable job.

Third, you can learn to code it yourself. This is the usual recommended method, but if in a hurry you might want to check out one of the first two options.

This way installing a wordpress theme would be done easily.
