If it's not the door-lock switch, you need a new speed control board.

SOURCE: My 2000 kohler tub drain leaks. The drain itself

Need clarification....the drain leaks to the ceiling below, or it doesn't hold water? If it doesn't hold water, no need to replace the ring. Those can be adjusted. Simply pull up on on the lever and screw it in clockwise. This will lower the stop and hold the water. If it actually leaks below, unscrew said stopper, grab a pair of needle nose pliers and place them in the drain (to grab the strainer) and use another pair to loosen. Once off, clean around drain and clean strainer, apply plumbers putty to the strainer, apply pipe "dope" (thread sealant) to the threads and tighten back in. Good luck!

SOURCE: frigidaire frontend washer LTF2140ES3 will drain not spin

There is an auxiliary switch in the door lock and switch assembly that is activated at the end of the wash cycle to advance to the spin cycle. When the machine works except advancing to the spin cycle, it signifies that this auxiliary switch cannot be activated and the door lock and switch assembly is faulty. Replaced the door lock and switch assembly (part #131763202) to fix the washer.

Disconnect power to the machine. Open the washer door then look for the retaining hoop securing the door seal around the lip of the door opening. Stretch the retainer spring of the door seal retaining hoop then remove it.

Carefully peel off part of the door seal from the lip of the door opening near the door lock and switch assembly. Remove enough of the door seal to gain access to the door lock and switch assembly.

Remove the screws securing the door lock and switch assembly to the front panel. Once the screws are removed, lift the door lock and switch assembly then pull it away from the front panel.

Take the door lock and switch assembly out of the machine. Disconnect the wires from its terminals then connect it to the new door lock and switch assembly.

Put the new door lock and switch assembly back into position in the front panel and secure it with the securing screws.

Properly put the eased part of the door seal back over the lip of the door opening then secure it with the retaining hoop.

Standing water in dishwasher

Good Afternoon friend, thank you for your post!

I understand that you have some standing water inside of your Frigidaire dishwasher. It is a normal operation to have anywhere from 2 to 3 inches of water inside of the tub of your dishwasher. If it is anything more than that you could have an issue with the drain pump or drain line.

You may want to check the drain line for any restrictions or clogs that could cause improper siphoning from your dishwasher. You should also make sure that the filter located in the bottom of your tub is clean, that could cause water to stand within your dishwasher. I hope this information is helpful. -Matt

Won't final spin, water left in tub

You will need to check the drain boot that connects the tub to the pump. Remove the top by removing the screws on the rear. Slide top back and lift. Next, remove the screws that secure the rear panel and remove. Look to the bottom of the tub for the drain boot and remove the 2 clamps and take the boot off and clean all debris from boot and the pump.

Where is the drain pump filter on the Frigidaire front load washer?

You will need to remove the back of the machine. Then, look on the bottom of the tub, you will see a drain hose that you need to remove from the tub and there is a filter inside of it.

Good afternoon! We have a Frigidaire top load washer, model # FWS445RFS2. The tub continuously fills with water and we must manually stop the washer and then turn the dial to spin & drain. It cannot...

Joe, remove panel to get access to outside of outer tub. You will see a "bell" with a soft 3/8 clear line coming from it. That is your water pressure hose and it goes to a switch in the control panel. Remove one side from the bell housing, outer tub, and check for gookus. Clean out all obstructions. If there isn't any obstruction in the line, you need a new pressure switch up in control panel. There is a small chance that there is something on the inside of the outer tub which is obstucting air bell but I don't see this very often. Hope this helps,

Front loader, frigidare, not draining properly.

your washer has a drain catch, a small plastic cylinder with holes in it, that catches things left in you clothes. It may be restricted. You may have to clean your drain catch. It is located inside the hose that comes off the bottom of your outer tub, at the bottom, and goes to the drain pump. The easiest way to do this is to pull unit out enough to where you can tilt it back to rest against the wall. At the bottom of the washer there will be an oval shaped hole. You can access the hose with the drain catch inside of it. Remove the clamp at the tub with a phillips screwdriver or a 9/32 or 7mm socket. Before you do this you may want to remove any water still inside tube with a shop vac attatched to the washer drain line. If not alot of water will come out on the floor, or just get some towels, it will be messy. Once you have removed the clamp, remove hose enough to where you can pull out plastic cylinder inside hose. Make sure when you reinstall hose, that the hose is pushed up all the way against the tub, all the way around, or it will leak. Good luck!

How can i clean the pump

Remove the lower kick panel that is located directly below the door. If this is a Frigidaire model, the pump will be located in the front under the drum. Some pumps have a clean out trap with a screw on cover. Most Frigidaire models and GE models do not, however. You will need to remove the rubber hose from the inlet side of the drain pump in order to access the pump impeller. This is usually the larger of the two hoses attached to the pump. There will be some residual water inside the wash tub that you will need to drain, or be prepared to clean up when you remove the hose. An easy way to get rid of the residual water is to use a wet/dry shop vac and pull a vacuum on the drain hose at the wall. This will pull and remaining water from the tub and drain lines. Otherwise, you will need to lay down some towels.

NOTE: It is normal to have residual water in the tub and drain lines.

If you are experiencing drainage issue and cleaning does not correct the problem, you will need to replace the drain pump.

If you have any questions, please let me know. I hope this helps you.

I need help getting the front panel off my frigidaire front load washer to clear blocked drain

If the model number is correct, this model washer's drain pump is accessed by removing the lower kick panel directly below the door. There are two screws holding it in place along the bottom front edge.

HINT: You may prop the two front feet of the washer up for better access to the screws (a 2 x 4 works well for this).

With the panel removed, locate the drain pump in the front under the wash tub. To clean out the pump on this type of washing machine, you need to remove the drain hose on the inlet side of the drain pump. This is the large black rubber hose that runs from the wash tub to the pump.

NOTE: Remove the clamp at the pump and clean out any debris in the hose and/or pump impeller. It is much easier to remove the clamp on the pump than it is to remove and reinstall the one on the wash tub.

HINT: If you own a wet/dry shop vac, remove the drain hose from the standpipe at the wall and pull a vacuum on the line to remove all residual water from the wash tub. This will save you from a mess of water to clean up. If you don't own a shop vac, you will need to lay down some towels to catch any residual water that remains in the wash tub and drain line. FYI: Residual water is normal.

If all these steps do not correct your drain problem, you will need to replace your drain pump.

A replacement can be found at pcappliancerepair.com for about $81. Just type in your model number and look under the "Motor/Tub" heading for item F35. Use the drawings provided as well to assist in parts location and assembly.

If you have questions, or if I have the wrong washer model, please post back and elaborate, so that I may assist you better. I hope you find this information helpful.
