You need to get the theft code fron a g.m. dealer; the theft lock was not de-activated before it was removed from the original vehicle.if you know the original owner the code should be in their owners manual

Changed my factory stereo with an after market stereo and now truck wont start what do i need to do or what didnt i di its a 1998 ford ranger xlt

put back the factory stereo if the car works then you have a model that depends on that head unite you will need to use a factory stereo by pass harness to solve this problem when you install you after market unite.this is a common issue with newer factory stereo's if putting back your factory stereo does not fix this then check all your fuse's generly there are more then one fuse box in newer cars

How Do I Wire An Amp To A Factory Stereo Without Rca Jacks

Hello jon101478,

Purchase a line output converter (LOC) such as the PAC SNI-45T shown here. Tap the LOC inputs into your rear channel speakers and run RCA's from the LOC to your amp. The unit shown in the link also has a trigger wire that you connect to the remote terminal of your amp. You can get a cheaper LOC and just run a switched 12V source to the amp if you wish.

Hope this helps.

Factory stereo

You can call up the dealer and see how much it's going to cost there for the codes, but try 0000 first. If that does not work. try www.radio-code.com they can get your radio working again. Good luck and keep me posted

Need to find the antenna connection into the factory radio on 99 chevy suburban

Pull the dash bezel off, lower the sterring wheel, apply parking brake, lower gear shift to 1st - apply gentle pressure and MAKE SURE there are no screws by cup holder. You will see the stereo and how it is mounted. That either has small bolts 5/16 or 2 snap clips that you depress and pull forward. Just be gentle but firm and you will be fine. You will also need 2 antenna adaptors, just call any stereo shop and they can help you with that.
