Question about Rockford Fosgate Punch P5002 Car Audio Amplifier
THE ONLY OPTION YOU HAVE IS TO PURCHASE ANOTHER 8 OHM SUB AND PARALLEL IT WITH THE ONE YOU HAVE SO THAT THE AMPLIFIER WILL SEE THE 4 OHM BRIDGE THAT IT NEEDS. AT 8 OHMS YOU ARE ONLY GETTING HALF OF THE POWER TO YOUR SUB. BE CAREFUL AS WHEN THIS OCCURS, MOST PEOPLE WILL ATTEMPT TO COMPENSATE BY TURNING THE AMPLIFIER UP INTO CLIPPING WHICH WILL EASILY DESTROY THE VOICE-COIL AND POSSIBLE DAMAGE THE AMPLIFIER. IF YOU WANT TO USE ONLY OHM SUB, THEN YOU SIMPLY NEED TO REPLACE IT WITH A 4 OHM SUB. MAKE SURE IT CAN HANDLE AROUND 500 WATTS RMS. LET ME KNOW IF YOU NEED FURTHER ASSISTANCE....V
