Hi,

Power cycle clicks and goes away due to the following reasons
- Power supply defective.
- Mainboard defective

Try opening the back of the TV and try to find out any swollen or leaked or shorted out capacitor, this must be the issue for getting clicks...

These capacitor can be found either in the power supply board or the main board, since you had changed the power supply board i suspect this to be found in the main board...

The repair is pretty simple and straight forward; just 4 screws and a couple of plugs and changing the shorted things, this should oslve your issue.

Please leave me comment,if you need further assistance
Thanks for using FixYa!

You can see a patch of cord connecting from the power board to the another board, the another board is called as a main board

If power supply is good and voltage measures out ok. Also check any relays or capacitors. If LCD, check caps, if projection, check bulb and high-voltage transformer and flyback with a voltmeter.
Capacitors are the most common reason for failure in today's electronics.

The power supply in most of today's electronics have one of the highest failure rates. You can check with a voltmeter and test where the power supply wiring connects to main circuit.

Right speaker terminal not working - tested out both speakers and they work fine when independently tested on the left speaker terminal. Sony MHC GX45 Shelf System, 2 speakers and 1 sub.

If the sound is also dead on that channel on a pair of headphones. Then you have probably lost the main power amp for that channel. To be certain. With you headphones on, slide or turn the balance control so you can only hear the faulty channel. With some music playing turn up the volume. If you can hear "faintly" music playing then the pre-amp is OK and the power amp has gone.
The power amp will be located on a heat sink. It will consist of 4 transistors (2 for each channel) or one big device (or two) (an IC). If it is transistors you only need to replace the two for the right channel.

My 50 inch hitachi has volume no picture

No Picture:

1. The Power Supply may not be producing the correct voltages.

2. The Digital Module (Digi-Main) may not be producing correct

turn on commands (Power 1 and 2).

3. The Logic PWB may not be supplying the correct Vs/Va turn on

commands (Vsago and Vcego).

The Panel can have a defect of two natures.

1. The panel is shorted.

2. The panel is defective, but not presenting a short.

3. Y-SUS and/or X-SUS may be defective (Shorted and or nonworking).

First monitor the front Power LED.

• Does it turn on, then go completely off? (Indicates Shutdown), Power Supply not running.

(Shutdown usually indicates a Short.)

• Does it turn on and stay Green, but no picture. (No Shutdown),

• Power Supply running basic power supplies, but Vs/Va voltages not being produced.

PRELIMINARY OBSERVATION:

Next open the unit by removing the back cover. Check the following carefully by visual observation.

Power Supply PWB: Look very carefully around all mounting screws for cracks or PWB damage.

DW-3 NO PICTURE TROUBLESHOOTING

BUFFERS (Drivers) ON SDR Upper and/or Lower PWBs (50"~60")

Take a moment to carefully observe the Buffer "Snot" Chips

(Left Side black chips mounted on the SDR Upper and Lower PWBs).

Look very closely for burns and/or small holes in these chips.

If any defect is seen, the PWB is defective. Replace this PWB and
the Y-SUS if PWB not upgraded. Replace only SDR if PWB is upgraded

New bulb/TV still shuts down

Its far more likely the result of the power pwb capacitors that have failed. As the 34 code will appear if the capacitors fail on the Power PWB. You can get the V26 DLP Power repair kit at the following link.with free instructions

The 2200 uF capacitor in the power supply has gone bad and the humming is a 60 Hz from the rectification of AC to 18 vDC.  Either get a new power supply or take apart the power supply and replace the bad cap.

I think you have problems with the digital main PWB.

If the power PWB failed, turn off and change the pilot ligth to red.

Power Problem

Josh,
Can you hear any slight ticking noise following he click? It's one of two probabilities, either the HOT or the FBT - - The horizontal output transistor in that unit is a common failure. It uses a 2sc5902, which you can sub to a 2sd2539 or an NTE2353, either will work as well if not better than the original. And it only takes a shop a very short time to do a continuity test acress the E&B (emitter and base pins) on the HOT to determine if it's shorted.
When the HOT shorts the shutdown circuit will pulse, causing a very faint ticking sound, cycling in it's attempt to power the unit.
If you're going to have a shop do call around and ask what they charge to replace the HOT like you know what you're doing...
Let me know how it turns out..
