Can you provide the exact Make, Model and Kenmore model number? ......... Kenmore model numbers use the format ###.######## with the first three digits of 110 for Whirlpool manufactured machines.......... This sounds like a Lid Switch problem but without the full model number I'd hesitate to try to diagnose the problem.....

Drain?

The evaporator that does the cooling and collects the ice is located in an insulated box on top. When the ice melts it goes out that drain line up top into the pan where it is evaporated. Hope this helps and good luck.

Hi I have a traulsen RHT 132 EUT FHS inside the unit water drips from the top and soakes everything and fills the bottom so I have to vacuume it out every few days

sounds like a clogged drain pan drain. Could be the drain line heater is not working so when it goes into defrost, the water can not drain as the drain line is frozen up and acts as a restriction/ clog. could also be some good old fashion junk/ dust.
Check it out.

Lights blinking and beeping

Have seen that on certain controllers before. Very possible your temp. sensor is open circuit or out of spec. or not making proper contact on the wiring harness. You would need a digital thermometer to check the sensor.

I have water coming from the top of the refrigerator onto food.

sounds like you have a whirlpool/kitchenaid freezer top model. these very often get a clogged defrost drain, that clogs with ice, nothing more. the simple fix is to turn the unit off for 24 hours, open both doors, blow a fan at the freezer, to melt the ice in the defrost drain. The problem however, wont be fixed, the drain will eventually clog up with ice again, until you get a repair service to install a drain heater. But you will have dry lunches for a while, be it weeks, or months?

Ice in bottom of upright freezer -- problem with tube position?

Hello, get a short piece of electrical wire and strip the insulation off. put a bend in one end and then hang it over the heater directly above the drain making sure the wire runs into the drain about an inch. the heat from the heater will make sure the drain stays clear. Hope this helps. Mike

Kenmoore upright freezer cold but not freezing

Hi!

Thanks for using FixYa. First of all please check that there is air flow in the upper vent baffle in the fridge section which is located behind the crispers. If there is no air flow at the vent baffle in the upper fridge section then this is the cause of the issue you’re facing with. The evaporator fan pushes the air through ducting into the refrigerator from the freezer and if there is any material obstructing it then clear it.

If still the problem persists then you need to check the following things:

The defrost circuit contains defrost timer, defrost heater(s) and defrost thermostat. Defrost timer failure will not put power to the circuit. Defrost heater failure will fail to defrost when the timer applies power. Defrost thermostat must be closed for defrost to take place. First locate the timer, rotate the clutch head screw clockwise slowly until one distinct click is heard. Now the timer will be set in defrost mode and defrost should complete within 30 minutes or less after which the refrigeration should start cooling again. If defrost takes place and it does not go back to cooling automatically turn the screw once again until you hear the second click, unit will start. Replace the timer. If defrost does not take place in the time frame above and the unit restarts in cooling test the defrost heaters. From the heater(s) follow the wires from each end to where they plug into the circuit. Unplug them and test through the heaters with an ohm meter. You should get a reading if they are good, if no reading then you need to replace the heater(s). If you get a reading on the heater(s) then you need to replace the defrost thermostat.

Please do rate the solution and revert for further assistance.

Thanks
Rylee

Water in freezer, runs constantly

Hi, There is a drain plugged. Look on the back of the freezer. If you can not see a drain hose, look underneath. Blow through the drain hose and clear it. If you can remove a panel near the fan motors and get to the drain there, you can clear/flush the drain out too.
I hope this helps you.

Frozen drain line from top freezer to drip pan

Hi, Remove everything in the freezer. Get as much ice out as possible with out using sharp object. You will need to remove the rear evaporator panel inside the freezer and locate the drain hole below the evaporator. The safest way is to use a hair dryer. Once you can get to the drain hole and get the ice down inside the drain thawed (a few glasses of hot water usually gets the job done) Try and run a wire (I use a hose or biasting seringe) and get that drain hole flushed out real good. Sometimes it takes 45 minutes or so. After that is cleaned out, put the rear panel back on and you should be all set.
I hope I have helped you. Please let me know if I can be of more assistance.

Thanks
Vic

When i start my washer water does not come out yet it spins

Make sure that both faucets the lines are connected to in the rear are TURNED ON, and that the right ones are selected. (Left is usually hot, right is cold.)

Then make sure they are properly hooked to the right lines on the back of the washer.

Finally, set the washer for a brief cycle with COLD water only.

Freezing drain tube

Sometimes what causes this is a obstruction in the drain line. It may be draining, but not fast enough. the water could still be backed up enough to freeze after the defrost cycle. I would clean the line out with compressed air, or flushing water down it. If there is no progress with this, then you can get a drain line defrost heater. they come in all sizes, voltage, and Watts. You should be able to wire it directly into the defrost circuit
