Question about Averatec Computers & Internet

1 Answer

I just bought the Averatec all in one pc but the power can't be turned on(even try with 75W 230V-110V converter; the converter is fine, working for all my other electric appliances) in UK though it works in Taiwan where i bought.

Use a ac-ac converter model psd-300 from brand HQ imput 230 V 50hz (=europe) this kind of example is to use to example computer it can bring secundair power 110V by 300W look the picture but there are more choices for modern computers this is an example for being in Europe when you will use a device from Amerika. but its much cheaper to get a standard power-supply if its possible by the standart dimensions to build in.

You may have FAILED to check that the polarity matched. Some have the pinpositive, the other the sleeve.

It is UNLIKELY that muchwas damaged beyond the power regulator in the base unit. Should be relatively inexpensive repair.

My andis T-outliner is makeing a loud noise

The problem you describe is most likely due to the fact that the machine you bought is designed to operate on 110v/60Hz electrical supply as used in North America. In fact the T-Outliner is only designed to operate on 110v/60Hz so even if you use a transformer you will only convert the voltage from 110v to 230v. You will not convert the frequency 'Hz' from 60Hz to 50Hz which is necessary with an electrical product with many moving parts such as a clipper to operate correctly on the European electrical supply which is 230v/50Hz........Check on ebay 'Voltage and Frequency Converter' about 65 pounds. The only solution

Look on the side of the clipper handle. You ahould see what appears to be a screw. With your clipper plugged in and turned on, turn that screw with a screw driver in either direction, the noise you are talking about should quiet down quite a bit,
