Question about Frigidaire GLEQ2152ES Electric Dryer

1 Answer

THE DRYER TUB LEANS FORWARD. MAKES GRINDING NOISE.

For some time the tub has leaned forward leaving a gap @ the bottom of the tub. in is just large enough to catch a zipper or button. now when running it makes a grinding noise. the clothes are even hotter than usual. it almost hurts to hold them.

As I have never worked on a front loader and I dont possess a manual, I am not sure what is suposed to hold the tub truly horizontal. is it a bearing system? if so does the tub have to come out the front to repair it?

Most of my repairs have been to top load machines, so my help would not be of assistance to you.
If you plan to work on the dryer yourself, I would highly recommend that you purchase a manual for it.
The following website may be able to help you.

Look under "Repair Manuals"
Good Luck,
I hope this helps

Reasons for popping noise:
Popping noise could occur due to the malfunction in the ignition system, leaky valves, weak cylinder compression, carbon accumulation in the combustion chamber or lean fuel.
1. Ignition system malfunction (Misfire).
Check:
- The ignition timing.
- Spark plug gaps.
- Use colder type spark plugs.
- Ignition module and ignition coil.
- Distributor cap and rotor.
- Spark plug high tension cords.
2. Cylinder compression:
- Check valves clearance.
- Perform cylinder compression test.
3. Fuel system (For lean state).
- Check fuel filter for clogged.
- Check fuel injectors.
- Check fuel pump pressure.
- Check fuel regulator.

Load seems unbalanced during spin cycle making an incredible amount of noise.

it could be a susp rod is broken when you look into you tub b4 you add cloths does it lean to on of the 4 coners if so the susp rod must be replace or if ok then put into spin with out cloths is it ok then if only happen on large loads then the bottom of the tub assy is hitting the bottom panel of the washer

LG wm -1832c front loader making noise

when you take the panels off you will see that the barrel is suspended by springs on top and fake struts on the bottom. be careful when removing the panels. if the barrel is leaning forward it's the front struts, if it's tilting upward it's the rear. and be careful how much you load in a front loader

Noisy Dryer Drum - Squealing/Grinding type Noise.

okay this is a stack unit, what you have is a rear bearing problem, This will also cause your tub to lean. it is located in the back, to make your unit right go ahead and buy the rear bearing, it will come with a white coupler, bearing and you will need to lubricate it....

also for a couple of more dollars order you the front seal, this is the white felt that surrounds the door...

1. top felt
2. bottom felt.

thanks

Terrible scraping noise from drum, what is it?

more likely there is a bra wire caught between the inner drum and outer tub, possibly wrapping itself around the element in the bottom.
