Dear njvinod; This dishwasher is a KUDIO1IL model if that makes any difference. The hot water line is 5' from dishwasher solenoid, running hot water never made a difference before.

At first the normal cycle light and the cancel light blinked, I shut power off for a minute and back on and the cancel light stopped but normal light still blinks and washer will not start. Do you have any other suggestions, sensers, circuit board, etc? Thanks

There is no way to guess at this problem, you need to test the circuit with a mulitmeter to find the problem. The only thing that you can try is to turn off the power to the unit for a few minutes, and then turn it back on and try it.

Hi,

The blinking "clean light" is a common problem with this dishwashers. The problem is usually attributed to water supply temperatures being too low when filling. Apparently, there are some issues with the temperature sensing circuits in some dishwashers that causes an error code to be generated if awater temperature is not achieved in a specified time interval (this time may differ between models). should return the dishwasher to normal operation.

To keep the fault from returning, it is recommended that you run your hot water faucet in the kitchen until it runs hot BEFORE you start the dishwasher. This will heat the water in the supply line for the dishwasher (most dishwashers are fed from the kitchen sink supply line). The theory is that if you fill the dishwasher with hot water from the start of the wash cycle instead of the cool water that is normally in the lines (especially if you have a hot water tank located far away from the kitchen), this should satisfy the requirements of the temperature sensing circuits.

If the fault reappears, there should be a tech sheet located inside the lower panel under the door that explains howto reset the light flashes, Please refer that to clear the lights..

You apparently need a sediment mesh filter. Most inlet solenoids have a built-in mesh screen that can easily get clogged. This is the main cause of these units becoming inoperative. (I would bet that your old solenoid just needs a good disassembly and cleaning, although the normal failure is water blockage, not leaks). Any type of filter will also act as a sediment filter, however, they will clog faster than normal. Even a mesh filter, however, will eventually clog and require cleaning.

Your real problem is likely a bad hot water heater (dumping rust and other particles into the water) that will soon need replacing. If it is still in fairly solid condition, you can try draining and flushing it to remove the sediment/particulate matter that is being passed to your dishwasher.

It is also possible (although not likely) that your inlet water temperature is too hot for the water valve seals casing them to deteriorate and warp.

SERVICE DIAGNOSTICS CYCLE
To start the Service Diagnostics Cycle, press the
following keys, in order, in less than 6 seconds, while in standby(power on but unit off):
Heated Dry, Normal, Heated Dry, Normal
To Rapid advance one interval at a time, press the Start key, noting that
unlike Standard cycles, the Diagnostics Cycle automatically resumes
after door openings and does not require pressing Start to resume.

Once the diagnostic cycle has run and shut off, run a normal wash cycle, empty and with no detergent, to reset the control to factory "normal" operation. Make sure there's plenty of hot water.

I have filled dishwasher selected temperature and the start light is flashing but nothing happens I think the m/c type is 7197

The Start/Resume light is flashing

This flashing light indicates that your cycle or start-up was interrupted.
Possible causes: The door opened during the cycle, or the power was interrupted.
To resume operation: Make sure the door is closed, and press Start/Resume.

The Clean light is flashing

You should call for service if the Clean light is flashing and the machine is inoperable. It is normal if the Clean light stays on after the cycle is complete. The Clean light is an indication that the dishwasher has been run and that the dishes inside it are clean. Once the door is opened after the cycle is complete, the light will shut off.

The lights are rapidly flashing

Any key that gets stuck will rapidly flash. Press the key a few times in order to release it or press Cancel.

The Rinse Only light is rapidly flashing

If multiple keys are stuck, the Rinse Only light will flash. Press each key, one at a time, to release the stuck keys, or press cancel.

Won't turn on

If the dry light is flashing you will need a new keyboard, if the clean light is flashing try this key dance

normal, heated dry, normal, heated dry

wait for the lights to come on and then go off, press cancel and wait 2 minutes, try a cycle. If it works and fails again let me know we can dig deeper to find out the root cause

Normal cycle light flashing

If its the ormal led flashing that is normally caused by a stuck key ing the key pad. Might try unplugging and plugging back in but sounds like you need a new touchpad.
