Problem with LG Shine KE970 Cellular Phone

Red message symbol on home screen

Hi I was wondering if you could help, I just noticed a red message icon appeared on my LG shine phone as if a message had failed to send. However there was no such message in any of my sent items or even inbox. Am I barking up the wrong tree completely, does the pic mean something else, and how do I get rid of it?

    • a red envelope has popped up on the screen where the white envelope usually appears. i tried turning off my phone, emptying my inbox an nothing has worked please help me

    • I have the same problem too with a little red envelope symbol showing
      where the white envelope normally shows when sending/recving. Texting
      is still working as usual.

ok so i was looking into things for this problem..and it seems to be verrrry simple. The KE970 only supports 300 in/outbox messages b4 i deletes the next oldest 1 wen u receive/send. So the simple fix is....delete some text messages or just ignore the red message icon.(from wat i can tell all the red message icon is to warn u that ur messaging is full on ur internal phone slots/memory) Hope this helps
