I will put my dics in the xbox 360 and it will say open tray.

Needs belt replaced inside of drive.

You can do it yourself by opening the xbox 360 case and the dvd rom with a proper tools.. tighten with a screw (counter clock) right there!! (see the picture)

The optical drive on the xbox wears over time. Call 1-800-4MYXBOX and get a repair scheduled.

Follow the steps below, Hope this helps

1. Turn off the xbox 360, disconnect the cables wait for 20 seconds reconnect the cables and turn it back on.

2. Remove the hard drive, turn on your xbox 360 without the hard drive.

3. Re attach the hard drive and turn on your xbox 360

4. If the steps wont resolve the issue, your console needs to be serviced. Contact Xbox Customer Support to check the warranty status of your xbox 360.. Good Luck!

This issue occurs when there is a problem with the lens on your 360 disc tray..

Run a CD/DVD lens cleaner disk and see if that helps you.

put soap on the disc and put it under hot hot water thats how i got mi games to get back workin

If you fix it yourself, you will have opened your xbox and voided your warranty. (I highly advise you not to, because this means event if you pay for a repair, they will not fix it.) I would definately send it to microsoft even if it is out of warranty.
