Question about Sharp Aquos LC-30HV4U 30 in. LCD HDTV

LC-30HV4U)does not turn on. Red light on Display and no light on televison I tried to disconnect AC cord , wait 2 minutes then connect - nothing I tried the Clear button with a pen - nothing Power is on but no lights on TV

Look at the power supply first since it is easier to get to, look for burnt parts, bad capacitors, etc.

Sharp aquos LC-30HV4U red light on , does not power up , any ideas ?


I have not had that exact problem, I'm sure you have tried powering off for more than 10 minutes, for some reason that has alway fixed my issues with the same model you have. Good luck!

Show error


E indicates an Error condition.

1.Without turning off the product, disconnect the USB cable from the rear of the product.

NOTE:The USB cable connects to the port on the rear of the product. The port is labeled with the USB icon ( ). If your printer has a network or wireless connection, ignore this step.

2.Remove the cartridges from the product.

3.Wait until a message to insert the cartridges displays. If you do not see a message within a few minutes, skip to the next step.

NOTE:If your printer does not have a display, wait until the cartridge lights blink. If the cartridge lights do not blink within a few minutes, skip to the next step.

4.Disconnect the power cord from the back of the product.

5.Wait 60 seconds.

6.Reconnect the power cord. If the product does not automatically turn on, press the Power button ( ).

7.Reinsert the cartridges, and then close any open doors on the product.

8.If you receive a prompt to print a calibration page, do so.

9.If you disconnected the USB cable, reconnect it to the rear of the product.

10. Try printing again.

Hi my lc-30hv4u will not turn on is the fuse inside the black box marked 224 above were the power cord connects? thanks

My playstation2 slim lights will turn green and then turns orange or red after 2-3 seconds after I power it on..


try this:
unplug the AC cord from the wall and wait a couple minutes before plugging back in.
