Question about Briggs & Stratton Ignition Kit 2-8 HP Engines with Breaker Point Ignition #5012D
I get one spark on plug, then nothing. It is a 1972 Briggs and Stratton 15 hp that has been running good. Slight cold natured but once warmed up is a great runner. I pressure washed the engine and replaced a leaking fuel line. It cranked up fine, then stalled. Now I get excess fuel leaking from carb (Have a kit I expect to put in) but when I pull plug, ground it to engine, and turn engine over, I get one strong spark then nothing. Pulled ignition component cover and points (Breaker in nomenclature) appears clean and not pitted. Have not tried to adjust. Turning over see weak, intermittant spark at point.
