Question about Carrier XHB123D X/Y Series Heat/Cool Air Conditioner
Just had a Carrier Infinity 96 (40000BTU) installed a few months ago in our 1500 sq ft home.
My wife likes to keep our bedroom window open at night for fresh air, which, of course, cools down the house. Before going to bed, we turn down the thermostat to 15 degrees celsius. We turn it back to 20 degrees in the morning after closing the window. The problem is that it takes several hours to bring the temperature back up to normal. Shouldn't it heat up the house faster than that? Is there anything I can do to make it heat up faster?
Thanks for any help,
Carrier infinity 96 furnace went to turn down the thermostat and their was no power to it and the furnace doesnt run

Yes, we have a larger model and the reason it takes so long to warm up is that your technician set the thermostat for a slow warm up which is used to conserve energy. Or else it is the default setting. It can be turned off by holding down the "Advanced" setting on the thermostat for 12", going to settings ,furnace, and "low heat rise" where you can shut that off by pushing up or down on temp button. I went to this site b/c we are having problems with it starting up on High blower and then dropping down after a few seconds. Just started doing that. I changed the filter and it doesn't seem to be doing it as much.
