You probably have either a blown seal or a crack water pump housing. I've never replaced a seal, but I have replaced a water pump. There is no need to remove the washer's metal paneling. Simply tilt the washer backwards far enough for you to get your head and hands under. Have a friend help you to avoid injury. Remove the sound deadening pad from the bottom and look under with a flashlight. If you can't pinpoint the leak with the washer off, turn it on while it's still tilted up. You should be able to easily determine the location of the leak. If the water pump is cracked, I would recommend ordering a new one through the manufacturer. If you don't want to wait the week or so for it to arrive, there is another fix which is how i fixed my washer. I applied enough JB-Weld to completely cover the cracked areas. It's been 4 months of the washer running everyday and still no leak, but I plan on replacing the pump anyway just for peace of mind. To remove the water pump, first make sure the washer is unplugged from power. You can leave the water inlets attached. Separate the 2 water hoses from the pump with pliers, and dislodge the 2 retaining bars. Different models and manufacturers may differ in the pump securement, but it should be pretty easy to remove. Then either replace it with the new pump or apply some sort of strong plastic bonding agent.

Either there is a leak in drum or one of the hoses and/or fittings under unit is leaking.

Gonna have to roll up your sleeves and check it out.

Water seeps into Whirpool Duet washer

If your washer is leaking water when it is not in use, the following link explains how to troubleshoot to isolate the cause:

http://www.fixya.com/support/r3753262-front_load_washer_fills_when_not_in_use

The problem is either attributed to a defective pressure switch or a water inlet valve that is leaking by. The link I provided will explain how to determine which one.

If you still require assistance, please let me know.

Whirpool Ultimate Care II washer - drips

Your water inlet valve is leaking through. Turn off the water. Remove the hoses from the washer. Clean the sediment screens in the water valve and replace the hose.
If that does not solve the leak through problem, the water inlet valve will have to be replaced.
Use the attached video to show how to access the inside of the washer in the event the water valve needs replacing.

Leaking tub in front

If this is a Whirpool toploader and it is leaking from the front, this is commonly caused by a damaged drain pump. These pumps are sealed units and are not serviceable. So, if it IS leaking, the pump must be replaced. The following link explains how:

http://www.fixya.com/support/r397094-replacing_water_pump

Of course, the real determination will be exposing the internal components of the washer to get a better view. The link provided has all the steps required for removing the washer casing to expose the internal components. This will give you a better idea in determing where exactly the source of the leak may be coming from.

Run a small amount of water in the tub before you unplug the lid switch connector. The washer will not run with the lid switch disconnected, so you will need some water in the tub to see where your leak may be.

The drain pump is located in the front of the washer directly below the wash tub. Check the drain hose connections and the pump housing. As stated before, if the pump is leaking it must be replaced. Replacements can be purchased at any of the following websites:

searspartsdirect.com
appliancepartspros.com
pcappliancerepair.com
repairclinic.com

Check the wash tub for any cracks as well, followed by a check under the center potion of the tub. If the leak is along the wash tub any where, the tub may have to replaced. If the leak is coming from UNDER the tub, you may have a leaky tub seal. These repairs are not difficult, but are labor intensive. We'll cross that bridge if needed.

Read through the link and let me know if you have any questions. I hope this helps you.

Maytag LA212 Toploading Washer - leaks as soon as a load is started. Will continue to leak until washer is stopped. Not a small leak - there is a puddle two days later in the floor below it. Removed...

It appears that from that area the problem may be the water inlet valve or it's connections. See diagram https://www.searspartsdirect.com/model-number/LA212/3048/0153000.html?searchType=modelSearch&q=LA212&searchTerm=LA212
