Question about Computers & Internet
You probably have either a blown seal or a crack water pump housing. I've never replaced a seal, but I have replaced a water pump. There is no need to remove the washer's metal paneling. Simply tilt the washer backwards far enough for you to get your head and hands under. Have a friend help you to avoid injury. Remove the sound deadening pad from the bottom and look under with a flashlight. If you can't pinpoint the leak with the washer off, turn it on while it's still tilted up. You should be able to easily determine the location of the leak. If the water pump is cracked, I would recommend ordering a new one through the manufacturer. If you don't want to wait the week or so for it to arrive, there is another fix which is how i fixed my washer. I applied enough JB-Weld to completely cover the cracked areas. It's been 4 months of the washer running everyday and still no leak, but I plan on replacing the pump anyway just for peace of mind. To remove the water pump, first make sure the washer is unplugged from power. You can leave the water inlets attached. Separate the 2 water hoses from the pump with pliers, and dislodge the 2 retaining bars. Different models and manufacturers may differ in the pump securement, but it should be pretty easy to remove. Then either replace it with the new pump or apply some sort of strong plastic bonding agent.
