How to install a thermostat

I found this for you

there is a hose that runs from the right side of the radiator to the engine right by the air intake, remove that hose, it leads to the housing for the thermostat, there are 2 bolts that you have to remove on the housing itself, one on top and one on bottom, once thats done you can access the thermostat

and this

Drain the radiator in a container. Remove the engine end of the top radiator hose. The housing has 2 bolts that you remove. Remove the thermostat and clean the surfaces and reinstall the thermostat. Reinstall the hose and add coolant.

If i plan to install all new water hoses on 04 vt1100ct is it easier to remove the engine to be able to get to all of the hoses

The engine should not have to be removed from the frame in order to install new coolant hoses. Work from the top, Remove the fuel tank and then most all of the hoses are much more accessible.
You may have to remove some of the air box intake to gain access.

Do you have to take the back off your front load washer to replace the drain hose

Your drain hose connects to a plastic elbow that sticks out of the back of the washer. No need to remove anything other than the clamp holding the drain hose to it. If you need a new elbow, Remove the top off the washer- 2 or 3 7mm screws on back edge of top, then slide top to rear of machine.
If it is the internal drain hose remove the access panel on bottom front and the top and try to do it from both places.

How do i replace the thermostad

Hello, if im not mistaken you will have to remove the battery and the tray it sits on, or at least i founded easier that way. Follow the upper hose to where it meets the engine, thats your Thermostat housing, remove the 2 bolts, remove the housing and there you have it. Also a good idea to get new gasket for the housing and thermostat. hope this is helpful

Where is thermostat top hose or bottom hose

Follow the top hose from the radiator to the engine. The thermostat is just below the housing that the hose is mounted to. For access, remove the housing (probably 2 bolts), not the hose.

We washed a small rug and we got an E-20 code. what should we do, its having problems draining!

Drain pump screen is clogged. If its makeing a bad grinding sound the pump will need to be replaced. Otherwise disasembly of the machine is required to access pump area to clean out screen. Dextrous people can probaly do this from the back or underneath unit. Its difficult and I don't recomend it to beginers or people who arn't handy. Easiest/prefered method: (This is the one I use.)

Method A units that have a bottom access panel. ie: front panel not one seamless peice.

-unplug unit
-lean back against wall for easy access.
-remove two #2 square screws form access panel.
-Loosen clamp holding hose to tub. (Big black one around 2" in diameter.)
-remove and clean screen.
-reassemble machine and test pump operation.

Method B units the have seamless front panel.

-unplug unit
-remove top. 3 screws @ back, slide top away from machine to remove.
-remove 2 screws holding console onto chasis.
-remove disp
-remove 3 screws @ and behind disp area.
-Remove console. ( tab may be holding to front panel @ middle bottom use putty knife to pry up.)
-remove 4 screws holding front pannel @ top to chasis.
-remove 2 screws holding frong pannel to chasis inside machine. Acess from top. (some models only.)
-remove bottom screws either 4 or 2 usally 4.
-remove two screws holding door lock to front panel
-remove spring from around bellow.
-remove bellow from front pannel
-remove front pannel. Tilts forward and lifts up off supports. (some models only.) or pannel ifs up and off from white tabs in side of chasis.
-unhook wires to door lock from front pannel. (plastic molex tab)
-may now access pump like in method A.

Pump Replacement
-access pump area
-remove drain hose to pump by looseing clamp and pulling off.
-remove hose to tub by losseing clamp and pulling off.
-remove power connection at back left of pump.
-unscrew two philips screws holding pump too base plate. (only one is really required.)
-replace pump
-clean pump screen or add one if not present.
-reconnect hoses.
-replug in power
-reassemble machine
-test pump operation

Zanussi FJD1666W heater removal.

There is no easy way to access the heater without stripping it down.
Remove top cover.
Remove 2 scews at rear bottom of cabinet.
Remove 2 plastic covers at front bottom sides of cabinet, and remove 2 screws located in holes, you will need a nut socket to remove them.
Remove inlet hoses, and undo screw at top where the hoses connect to, prize up the plastic retainer that holds the valves in place.
Remove screws at top of cabinet that hold the 2 halves together.
Then lift rear half of cabinet clear of the front.
At the bottom rear you will see the heater element located.
Undo center nut and remove element..
Fit back all parts in reverse order.
Not an easy job. Good luck.
Plz rate my solution.
Thanks.
