To update(flash) your phone, best and easy way is with Nokia Software Update(NSU),you
must use Nokia Ovi Suite to back up your from your phone,it's really
easy to use it.after you install the programs connect the phone to to
your computer via usb(use PC suite connection),back up your phone with
Ovi,then close the program,open NSS and update(flash) your phone.Very
important:Your phone must be fully charged and must not be disconnected
after the update(flash) has began until is finished, else your phone will not
startup. Here are the two programs: http://europe.nokia.com/support/download-software/device-software-update
You are asking for your mobile imie number?
Then you just switch off your mobile phone, open the back panel of your phone, then remove the battery(see phone manual for the isntruction to remove the panel)
You can see the details of your phone inside the phone.
The software in these phones gets corrupt, the solution is to get it reflashed at a dealer. Usually what causes that is low memory due to fillingit with pictures or video or if the video setting is changed to max length. They will also act up if the slide is only opened part way then closed without allowing it to get a full menu.
Try installing a theme or use the default theme. Oxycube works with this model of Nokia for uploading and downloading files such as themes etc. To use it U need a data cable and the correct usb drivers. These phones have problems if they do not have enough memory and also problems if the video is set to max.Howard forums has some info on them.
The default security code is simply 12345 and should work unless changed by your friend or MetroPCS. Hope this helps, if not, you may have to hard reset the phone. I will not explain how, but you can google it easy enough. Good Luck!!
this is the conflict between 2 softwares in phone. Try this Solution.
1.Charge the Battery to Maximum.
2.Hold *,Green(Answer Button),3 Simultaneously and press the power button on.
3.Hold this key combination untilll "FORMATTING. . . " Message will appear on the Screen.
4.Wait untill the formatting of handset is completed.
I hope your problem will be solved By doing this.
All the best.
I've had the exact same problem with my nokia 6265i for almost a year now. I bought mine at Future Shop, so their express exchange program has now sent me my fourth nokia of the same model because I've had the same issue with every single phone. Clearly there is an issue with this model. If you bought it from Telus they may have a different program when the phone is still under warranty. If it's not, then Telus gave me two options. 1) get $100 off of a new phone (at non-contract p[rice) and renew your 3 year contract with Telus. (oh goody!) or 2) They are offering a samsung phone.. can't remember the model, you can phone them. But they are offering that for $80.00. In other words.. the phone is useless, and you will still end up forking out money either way. Telus will not make up for this. They told me to contact Nokia about the phone. I don't know how that could possibly help my situation. I'm done dealing with them until next month when the Nokia breaks down again.
