Question about Panasonic Lands Phones

1 Answer

I have a business system installed in my home, using handset corded phones KX-T7050. I returned from a week out of town to find my phones dead. Verizon has been to my house and we isolated the problem to the Panasonic part of the system. (The repairman could get a dial tone into the house.) Troubleshooting?

Somewhere you have a white Panasonic box, where all the phone lines and extensions plug in. One of the phones has to be a display phone (7030,7130,7730/31/35/36). Whereever the cabinet it, it has a red light to show it has power and is operating. Start by unplugging that cabinet and plug it back in. A lot of times a KX-T cabinet will just need a power cycle to work.

The old 308/616 cabinets have a day/night light also. It will show what mode the cabinet is in, and you should have a display phone plugged into the first jack (either extension 11 or 101) which will light up.

Outside of that, if the cabinet lights up and the phone is still dead, try unplugging all the extensions and plug them back in one at a time, starting from the left. It may be that you have a bad jack somewhere in the house causing a short on the line and putting the system out of order.

If none of this works, it may be time to replace the cabinet. www.kxt411.com will find a Panasonic dealer in your area, and *bay will find you a new system or post back here with your model number and I may be able to get you a replacement.

I need in-home repair on a panasonic kx-t40810 bus/home phone system using kd-t7030 and kx-t7050 sets. Is there a company in houston, texas who can do this work?

A 30810 KSU has a value of about $100. The street price of the TA-824, carded 3x8 is about $250.

A service call for your in-home repair probably starts at $100. Do you get the hint?

In between, I have a TA-624 that I'd let go for $150.

You need to cancel absent message on your phone. The method depends on which Panasonic phone system your phone is connected to. Following are the methods for three different Panasonic phone systems. Once you cancel absent message, your screen should return to date and time, if not then press * until it does.

KX-TA624 Phone System
Press intercom button, dial 750#, lift handset then return handset to cradle to end.

KX-TA1232 Phone System
Press intercom button, dial 7500, lift hanset then return hansdset to cradle to end.

KX-TDA100 or KX-TDA200 Phone Systems
Press intercom button, dial *7500, lift handset then return handset to cradle to end.

Panasonic Kx-tea 308 low volume problem, using kx-t7730 and kx-t7720 handsets, low volume on all handsets, both sides of conversation. Panasonic sent new pc and handsets shortly after system was...

If you have to eat the system, I'd suggest butter, salt and pepper LOL

Seriously, what happens when you plug a regular phone directly into the outside lines? Or, better yet, plug a regular phone into jack 01 and TURN OFF THE POWER on the phone sytsem.
Now you have a phone wired to the outside line. If you can hear on those, then you may have a line current issue, or something else. If you can't, the telco is obligated to give you a line you can hear on. If they can't deliver, try an alternative like Vonage.

THE PHONE LINES ARE ARE MAKING A CRACKLING SOUND, WHICH SOMETIMES MAKES IT DIFFICULT TO HEAR WHAT IS BEING SAID

Crackling and buzz can come from a few different sources. I need a few more details. Is it on all phones? Is it on all lines of all phones? Does your caller hear the crackling too?

If it's in just one phone then switch out the handset & cord to see if the problem stays with the phone or the handset. You may just need a new hand set cord.

If it's in more than one phone then the problem will need some more testing.

We want to transfer a call to a phone number (external party). System programming is required. Can you help me? Thanks, Gina

Panasonic KX t7730 call forwarding function to external party:
If you are using the Kx-TA624 pbx (TES 824 models) system, program your phone unit (t7730) as follows: lifet handset, press FWD/DND button, press 3, then the outside line access code, then phone number, then #, then return handset.
If you are using the kx-ta1232 (higher models) of pbx system (usually with 9 or more CO lines cabable, use the following command:
lift handset, press FWD/DND button, press 6, then the outside line access code, then telehone number, then # then return handset to cradle.
