Make sure the vertical tracking force is between 1.0 and 1.5 grams

Check that the output of 5.0mV and impedance of 47k is sufficient for your system

Also make sure that the stylus point is not damaged and teh cantilever is not distroted

Also make sure thatthe phasing is correct for the cartridge connections and that it is mounted inthe correct position and offset.

Is the stylus assembly perfectly perpendicular from the front of the cartridge when it contacts the record? A misaligned unit will cause the issues you stated.

Replaced the magenta cartridge and it still says "order magenta cartridge". How do I correct this problem?

Did you replace with an orginal HP cartridge or a reman. Either way, it sounds like the chip that tracks toner usage is bad on the cartridge. If original HP, contact HP and get them to repalce it. If remanufactured cartridge, contact the people that refilled the cartridge.

I have got an hp deskjet 2480, i have just refilled the original cartridges but printer is printing poorly. Are original cartridges suitable to refill?

The simple answer is no,the main differences after you have given the cartridges a small shake is when you refill the cartridges, which are not supposed to be refilled your ink is not the same viscosity(density and (thickness!) as manufacturers products. This is why your quality is bad,I know it is an expensive buisness and thats why the printers are cheap in the first place --because profitt is made on cartridges.

With new cartridge indicates low ink level,

The ink level gauge may not work properly with refilled cartridges. Because of this, you might get low ink message after refilling. To install the refilled cartridge you might need to override the ink level gauge. Overriding the ink level gauge disables the printer’s ink level tracking feature, but allows you to use refilled cartridges. To override the ink level gauge, please check your printer reference guide. After disabling the ink level tracking feature you should check the ink level visually and as soon as the ink level gets low you need to refill the cartridge. You do not want to try to print with an empty cartridge. Trying to print with an empty cartridge may damage your print-heads.

otherwise you will have to replace the cartridge .

New cartridge for Technics SL -BD22D

the prestige gold might be a little bit of overkill for this turntable meaning the turntable is middle of the road and the cartridge is hi-end.

To get a closer match for your TT try a yahoo search for "AT3482P-DE" (with the quotes) and the result will be the closest match to what this turntable is designed for. also you can find your TT's owner manual here
http://www.vinylengine.com/library/technics/sl-bd22d.shtml but you will have to register to download the free manual. in that manual you will find the shape of the drawings for the cartridge is the same. both made by audio technica

Cartridge

"at3482p-de" <--do a search for this at yahoo. the resulting cartridge is correct for your model. it comes with the needle as all cartridges do. There are better ones you can get but this one is aprox. equal to the original supplied with the unit. In short any pmount type cartridge will fit/work in your player.

The printer doesn't recognize the new original HP color cartridge

There is a small spring that holds the ink cartridge in the ink holder. You will see it stick out from the right hand side of the ink holder where the ink cartridge slides in. If that spring isn't being held to the ink holder by two plastic tabs, (I.E. the plastic tabs are broken) the printer will never recognize the cartridge. If the printer is still under warranty I would contact HP or an authorized repair center for HP. Both the black and color ink holder has this spring. I know of no way to repair this kind of breakage.

Wrong colours!

Hi Dannydoda,

I understand that, you are using different compatible ink cartridges and having problem with colors.

HP printers has a small built in firmware, which can detect the original ink cartridges and the ink level.

Using other compatible ink cartridges may damage the print heads of the printer.

I suggest you to replace the ink cartridges with original or Genuine HP cartridges.

You can also try some of the steps to fix the issue as given in the web link.

please click on the web link given below and perform the steps carefully.

http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=c00042885&cc=us&lc=en&dlc=en&product=79499

This should fix the issue.
Have a great day!
