Question about Vehicle Parts & Accessories
I've had this occur on my 2001 combo van and believe me the cheapest solution is to buy a new aftermarket radio. If it asks for code on the display just refer to your dealer handbook and follow the steps to unlock it. If it says safe on display its another story. The safe on the display indicates that someone has entered the wrong code too many times and now it has been permanently locked. The radio now has to be removed and sent to the manufacturer to be reset or taken to the dealer who has to remove it and send it back to the manufacturer to be reset, all costs which you will have to pay for. Believe me i've tried all avenues and the cheapest option is to replace it with an aftermarket unit which will be much better anyway.
