How do I replace the basin clips?

There are very small, brass pins that are inserted in the top hinge of the clips. These must be removed, carefully. Then if you have a repair kit install it and reassemble, taking care to install the spring in the same position it was in before removal.

Stuck pfister faucet sleeve

  1. 2_25_2013_3_58_17_pm.gif

  2. Thanks to Danny Paccho I purchased a wrench to use in removing the sleeve from Geers Plumbing

  3. Then , removed the \'87 Price Pfister faucet housing from the basin by disconnecting the 2 pipes under the basin and removing the top basin nut; inserted the wrench into the top, turning counter-clockwise until it locked (er tightened a bit) and hammered it out ,gently?, to not damage the escutcheon threads , or the basin nut.

Whirlpool duet ghw9400pwo sometimes stays on rinse, sometimes shows sud , sometimes f2 code. My repairman cleaned filter by pump but he feels its the control board

Well, before you go investing in a new control panel that probably won't fix your F02 (Slow Drain)/SUD problem, or investing in a new machine that you may not need, I would remove the line that connects the tub basin to the pump filter. Make sure its clear (and it probably is if your filter is clear). It attaches to the tub basin via a hose clamp that is easily removed (though not so easily re-installed, speaking as a woman with fairly short arms and little hand strength). Once its removed, stick your hand up into the drum basin. I would suspect that you'll pull out a ton (okay, well maybe just a few cups) of yuck that is causing your F02 (Slow Drain)/SUD issue. Once you clean it all out, put it all back together and give it a test run.

Hansgrohe 88509000 sink drain does not close completely, water slowly drains out

This could be caused by the installation. If the installer did not use plumber's putty between the the flange and basin it will not seal with the basin. Another possible cause is if the basin is not perfectly formed it will cause the flange to oval or not seat evenly. If this is the case it may leak between the flange and the basin or the stopper may not seat all the way down and it may leak between the stopper and flange.

Disconnect/reconnect drain part of MOEN (Adler) bathroom faucet CAL84502. I'm changing the entire basin and reinstalling the MOEN faucet system but can't find my original installation instructions.

Should be 3 wing pipe nuts. One at basin base, and one on each end of you elbow. They should all turn counter-clockwise to remove. The one on the basin base likely and commonly has pipe thread tape on it.

Water coming out of the metal plate on top of the machine. Worked perfect until then. Thanks

Remove the top panel, then remove the water basin check to make sure the hole leading into the tank from the basin is not blocked.

Making loud banging noises. Sounds like something is inside, but nothing is. Something seems to be between the basin(?) and its casing.

It is very common for an item to get stuck between the basin and casing. You can drain the washer and spin the basin manually a few times in either direction. It should spin smoothly, but with some resistance. You may need to remove the front cover by typically lifting the top enough the loosen the front panel, then inspect the perimeter of the basin and the condition of the belt and motor. Remove anything that doesn't belong (i.e. a sock or zipper!)

How do i unclog the drain on my frigidaire fridge

I assume you are referring to the defrost water drain.

The first step is to determine where the blockage is. Many refrigerators have a plastic tube in the back that picks up the water from a catch basin inside the refrigerator and moves the water to a pan underneath the unit. Sometimes this tube can be removed from the connection fairly easily. If so, blow through this tube and see if it is open.

The other blockage area is more difficult. The water from the evaporator coils flows into a catch basin near the back of the refrigerator. This basin connects to the tube I mentioned. If this basin gets stopped up, you will have to remove the back liner panel of the refrigerator to get to it. I have seen these basins stopped up with debris and ice. This cuts off water flow, and the water gets inside the refrigerator.

We don't know how to fix an integrated towel rail to the basin

Hi stickybrfc,

I'm Harvey the Master Plumber.

Your statement is: You have purchased a corner basin with integrated towel rail but there are no instructions to fit the rail onto the basin. various fittings & screws but no instructions.

I'm going to assime this is a wall hung sink.
The amount of parts will depend on whether it has a round front, straight front or square front. Installation is basically the same. The rod holders have a U shaped connection for the bottom of the apron (the screw goes in the back). Install the first one then a rod then the next one till you're done. You may need a helper to hold things in place till it's secure. Snug up the screws but DON"T OVERTIGHTEN. I find it helpfull to put a little piece of hard wood or rubber between the back of the apron and the screw.

Rainbow e series

If you have the Rainbow e series, then this manual will explain exactly how to remove the separator from the wash basin and the basin from the caddy. (Please refer to page 6) A special tool is stored on the underside of the power unit next to the separator , which you can use to loosen the brass nut holding the separator.
The manual also provides instructions on how to remove the basin and clean it.

In my opinion, it is most likely a blockage in the tubes that must be causing this problem. This seems to be a common issue with this cleaner. There is also a small metal ring between the separator and basin that may be dislodged and causing this problem. Please the manual for an idea of what I am talking about.

If that does not help, then its best to contact the customer, (248) 643-7222,
Monday through Friday,
between 9:00am and 5:00pm (EST)
and ask for Customer Service.

If you find that this answer helped you in any way, please "Accept" my solution in the premium you posted at

I would be most grateful for your show of appreciation. Thanks in advance and good luck!
