Question about Adobe Computers & Internet

1 Answer

Can't install Photoshop CS3. Installed CS2 full version - OK. Installed upgrade CS3 - OK. Then had a problem with computer, replaced with new upgraded montherboard and processor and still OK. CS3, if I recall correctly, asked me to reregister since it looked as if I was on a new computer but I didn't get a chance. Program shut down on me 2 weeks later. Uninstalled and reinstalled - says it was successful but when I open program after install it locks up at opening screen. Tried Adobe's Clean Sweep CS3 level 1 and 2 and multiple times. Reinstalled CS3 only - no luck. Reinstalled CS2 - OK, but CS3 still locks up at opening screen. Disabled startup programs with MSCONFIG, copied CS3 disk to hardrive to install from there and did it all over again - same result. Not bad for such an expensive professional piece of software...

Hi,
a 6ya Technician can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repair professionals here in the US.
click here to Talk to a Technician (only for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Goodluck!

New product key for adobe photoshop cs3

Hello,
Unfortunately, Fixya does not provide crack license keys. Installing one means that you are taking away the right for your computers to be safe. Product updates, most especially the security patches will not be installed if you are using a crack key. One more thing, it is ILLEGAL.

When upgrading from adobe cs2 to cs3, do i need the cs2 serial #?

If you want to upgrade to CS3, you will need the registration key to do so. If you don't have it, you will have to buy CS3. The upgrade package will require your registration key for CS2 to complete the installation.

Device not recognized

stef holland,
If you were using CS2 and had calibrated your monitor with the Spyder 2pro your color profile should be the same and can be used in CS3. Match all of your color preference settings in CS3 to what you have them set for in CS2 you should be fine. Eventually you will want to upgrade the the Spyder3 pro or Elite which works in CS3 & 4. I don't think the Spyder went bad I'm pretty sure it doesn't work with the newer versions. Yes you'll have to uninstall Photoshop first check, to see if the device works with your older version of PS then calibrate the monitor again. Transfer your setting to the new PS after reinstalling it.

Adobe photoshop CS 3 upgrade version

The point of an upgrade edition of a piece of software is so that you can upgrade your existing software. You need Photoshop 7 or higher to use the upgrade. If you don't have it, you will need to return/refund your purchase of the cs3 upgrade, and get the full version of the software instead.

Your other option is to purchase an earlier version of adobe photoshop, in order to install it so that you can upgrade it. Seems very round-about but I suppose it would work, and I'll bet if you find adobe photoshop 7 somewhere, it'll be awfully cheap ;)

Photoshop 7.0

Unfortunately the "official" word is out. Photoshop 7.0, 7.0.1 is not compatible with Apple's newest Operating System, Leopard (10.5).
Adobe Photoshop versions CS (8.0) CS2 (9.0) and CS3 (10.0) do run in Leopard but may have some issues. The only suggestion I have for you is either revert back to Tiger (10,4) or upgrade your Photoshop to CS3. Adobe offers a discounted upgrade price from 7.0, CS1, CS2 to CS3 for $199. That's a lot better then paying the full retail price of $649.00. I wish I had a better suggested solution for you. You're not alone on this one.
