I connected all the wires to a wire harness but the CD player will not power up. An eariler radio short curcuited the headlights, interiror lights, and brake lights, but a change of fuses fixed that. I changed the fuse for the radio in the vechile and nothing still happens. What couild be the problem.

Most headunits (cd players) have fuses of their own. If those are are not blown, connect a simple test light to ground and with the ignition on, test your constant (yellow wire) and accessory (red wire) for power. If all fuses are good and you still have no power you can connect your red and yellow wires (whichever shows no power on the test light) directly to your vehicles fuse panel.
