Your converter/inverter is WAY TOO SMALL!!! to supply the needed current for the power box

I received a ryobi 36v battery charger as a present. It was brought in America and has a American plug. Can I use this charger in Australia

Australia has a 230v supply, and the US 110v. The power supply for your charger will indicate what input voltage it can handle. PCs, for example, typically have power supplies that can use anything between 100v and 240v, which means you can take your laptop from country to country without worrying. My Ryobi charger on the other hand says 240v input, so it doesn't have this flexibility - usually it wouldn't need to. If yours says 110v then you'll need a converter for it to function properly in Australia.

Dynaudio BM - Power from 110V to 240V or 240V to 110V

Hi Guys,

This is what I have learnt the hardway so wanted to share it with everyone who wants to get his Dynaudio Speakers converted from 240V to 110V or 110V to 240V.

I actually requested many forums including Dynaudio Support as I bought mine from US and they were 110V, I wanted to use it in my Country which has 240V standard, What these guys suggested me was to order the whole AMP Modules for the speakers if I want to have them work in my country. In other words it was a solution of $350 per module totals to $700.

Shame on them as I opened the speakers myself and found a small jumper wire hooked up on the connections marked 110V and there were other connectors marked with 220V and 240V.
All I did was just took out the jumper from 110 and inserted it in 240V connectors!!
Thats about it!
So guys forget these mean techiz at Dynaudio and use my experiene to solve your problem :-)

Cheers
Satch
satchriani2@hotmail.com

Can Singer 7258 Stylist be used in a Country like India with 220 - 240 voltage? Is there any UK model for the same?

the machine comes in two versions european {220-240v}
or american {110v}

you need to use a transformer to give 110-240v
the current this machine uses is less than 3amps
so a 3amp 110-240v converter is easily found on ebay for $10

How do I use this adapter in the US with 220 voltage

is it an 220volt ac - dc adapter you could buy a 110V AC to DC adapter with the same DC Voltage and current rating
or you could buy a 110V to 220 Volt adapter

be careful with switch settings
http://www.ebay.com/bhp/transformer-110v-to-220v

please be aware if timing is required or electrical motors this could be a problem as usa is 60Hz and your appliciance may be designed to run at 50 Hz frequency
there are devices that can convert freq from 60hz to 50 hz

Ram,

Good day mate, no problem you can plug your dvd direct to your outlet since it indicates 100 - 240V it only means your player is capable of having either 110V 0r 220V.

note: also try to check 1st if you will see a voltage selector at the back of your dvd player. it's either a slide switch indicating 110 or 220V. if no sign of this selector no problem you can plug your player straight to your socket.

cheers
