I have registered to norton 360 and have been alerted to alter my back up however as ive gone to do so my password i have forgot and also the email adress they have for me has the wrong spelling ive changed that so that they can send me a temp password i know it has limited time ... ive entered it and it still wont accept it pleeeeeze help dont know what to do

the Norton 360 that you have need to be register to an e-mail in order for it to work, you can try different e-mail address that you have so that you can access the www.mynortonaccount.com and click on the lost password link so that if one of you e-mail is registered it will send you a link to reset password to go to that site, it will give you the product key in side your norton account. so when you call up norton just asked for the link to download the N360 program and use the product key inside the norton account..

You should be ok to download and reinstall if you registered your details when you started to use norton. If you never registered your details, so they dont have a record of your email, you may have to use an alternative.
You will need to contact norton/symantic support, and request your details to re install

if you have norton 360 premier version then go to the following site
www.norton.com/n360p_4
download and install the product
if you are using norton 360 standard version then go to the following site
www.norton.com/n360s_4
download and install the product
if you do not know what is the product you were using
go to www.mynortonacccount.com
login with the email address that you have registered to purchase norton
there youcan find the details of the product you were using

you should be able to go to their site and log in with the same email/password as when it was purchased/registered. look in your account activity there. it should let you download your purchase again.

Use your CD to reinstall the software to you PC.

if you remember the email ID which you have used to register the product you will be able to recover the password. and product key. if you do not remember the password, click on forgot password, and they will send you the password to your email account.

if you remembered the email address you used to register then goto www.xboxlive.com try and login using your email address then use the forgot my password process, they will send you another or tell you the original i forget now.

Make sure that your computer is connected to Internet.

Start Norton 360.

At the right bottom corner of the Norton program window, click Activate Now.

Type the 25-alpha numeric product key, and then click Next.

• The product key can be found on a yellow sticker on the back of the CD envelope or in the confirmation email of your download purchase.
  
• If your product came with your computer you may not have to enter the product key. You can skip this step.

In the Norton Account Window, enter your email address and click NEXT.
Your Norton 360 checks the existing Norton Accounts using the email address.

Do one of the following depending on your situation:

• If Norton 360 finds your Norton Account, enter the password and click SIGN IN.
  
• If Norton 360 does not find any existing Norton Account, complete the form and click NEXT.

Review your subscription details, and then click DONE.
Your copy of Norton 360 is now activated.
