There is no way to convert your gas dryer to electric. They are built totally differnt as far as the heating portion of them goes. If you need an electric dryer you will need to buy a new one. Sorry that I could not give you better news.

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

SOURCE: Convert a gas dryer to electric

It would not be cost effective to do. You would need to replace way to many parts it would be cheaper to by new.

SOURCE: need to convert electrical Maytag

No that can not be done fairly inexpensivly...it could be converted but would actually cost more to purchase all needed parts that it would be to buy a brand new gas dryer

Can this samsung gas dryer convert in electric dryer too

While it is possible to convert your dryer from electric to gas or vice versa, you will find the cost to be excessive and not worth consideration. A gas dryer will have3 a gas burner and ignitor circuit system while the electric dryer will have a heating element and controls. This is NOT a practical conversion nor would it be cost effective. If you need a gas dryer for your new home, purchase a new dryer or save a few $$$ and check your local Craig's List for a good deal on a used gas dryer. Just beware that you don't buy someone elses problem. There are legitimate sales caused by moving or upgrading appliances that will allow you to find a great bargain. Drop any notion of converting your dryer!

Too much money.
A new dryer will cost considerably less.

Gas to electric conversion.

No, it is not practical to try to convert a gas dryer to electric. Cost of parts alone (not even counting labor) would exceed the cost of a new dryer. Please don't bother rating this, as anything but a FixYa will lower my rating.

Can I convert my Neptune Gas Dryer to electric??

Hello johnnyatorre,
For the right price, you can do almost anything but the cost to convert a gas dryer top electric would exceed the cost to just buy a replacement electric dryer.. I wouldn't advise it...
Sorry my friend...

Converting gas dryer into electric dryer

i don't think you can convert the gas dryer to an electric dryer.

there are so many issues to consider.

1 the contacts of the timer would be a big problem,
2 the heating element wiring uses big wires where as the existing wires are very small to handle the big current of the heaters.
3 the configuration of extra part that you would have such as the gas solenoids, the ignite r, the flame sensor, etc which electric dryer does not have.

and more....

so bottom line is..... can not convert.

tnx 4 using fixya,
