Move it away from other electronics, TV's microwave ovens, etc. Try it in a different part of the house to see if the static is location sensitive. It must be getting interference from someplace. The manual should describe a procedure for changing channels although that may not solve the problem unless the "static" is an interfering RF signal. If this is a remote handset problem, it may be too far from the base or the signal is obstructed by something. 5.8GHz does not have the range of the lower frequency phones.

We have dect 6.0. ha 603293960 w/ 2 handsets. they are both staticky.

There may be a button on them called channel search, or something to that effect. Try using that, it will change to a different channel and the static might leave.

Hope that helps!

Hi - The next step is for you to look in the manual and find out how to manually change the phones "channels' (frequency range). The phone does it automatically but not always efficiently regarding noise.
Not having privy to the phone model I can't tell you exactly how to change channels but I can tell you that you will most likely be able to cut greatly down on noise doing the above.
Also, make sure that the base and handsets are as far away as possible from home appliances that make RF noise, microwaves, TVs, Computers, Electric Heaters, etc.
Doing both things will give you a quieter phone environment.
Good Luck, Mikeywaf

It is possible one of your neighbors purchased a similar phone and you are on the same channel.
Check your instructions and see if you change the channel.
