This indicates hard drive issues or the windows files are corrupted. If you have a backup recovery disc, try and install the operational system, if no luck! have the hardware tested to see if you require a replacement hard drive.

If you've reinstalled the drivers for the touchpad, the issue is likely the hardware- if in warranty, contact Dell tech support- if not, you may need to purchase the palmrest assembly and consult support.dell.com for the install instructions

Dell inspiron 1545 laptop not working

Sounds like the hard disk could have went bad. try running a diagnostic from your discs and if you receive an error, report it here or to Dell. If you did crash the hd, you will need a new one. I hope your machine is under warranty.

Device manager and network adapter missing

you need to reinstall the drivers for your network, such as the ethernet and the wireless drivers. try to check if you still have the dell resource cd drivers disc. you need to insert that disc and check for the network drivers install them one at a time. if you no longer have the drivers disc then you can download it from a diff computer that has an internet connection. this is the website http://support.dell.com

click on the drivers and download and click on the green icon to enter the service tag. after that it will display all the drivers. you can download just the network first and save it to a storage device. then install that to your computer and download the rest of the drivers after you connected to the internet.

My Dell Latitude D600 is crashed when it tries to start up it will have a blue screen that says SYSYEMROOTSYSTEM32CONFIGDEFAULT. WHAT DO I DO?

You will need to run the OS installation disc and try to repair the installation. If it does not have an installation disc then the harddrive may have a built-in recovery system to bring your laptop back to working order. When you first boot up the computer watch the screen for instructions on what button to push for system setup or recovery. It might be F10 or F12. I would try to boot into safemode before the recovery so you can back-up any files you have that you do not want to lose.

How do i recover my computer

Hi,

Did you do a recovery disc when you first purchased it, if so put the disc in and at the Acer splash screen keep tapping F12 will start the recovery process, just follow the on screen instructions.

If you didn't do a recovery disc then you will have a recovery partition built into your hardrive, just start the laptop up and at the Acer slash screen keep tapping ALT+F10 or just F10 will start the recovery process, just follow the on screen instructions.

Thanks
